Ciara Wright

I ain't leave my room all day.

The lights were off, my phone was on DND, and my pillow was soaked. My head was pounding from crying so much.

I should've known better. I should've never trusted him like that.

I'm done dating rappers. This the second time I got cheated on-with my friends, too.

First, it was Tyler cheating on me with my childhood best friend Maria. Now DD did me dirty with Lani.

I kept replaying that video in my head-Lani on his lap, that fake voice, that kiss.

And him? Just sitting there, smiling. Saying "I love you too" like that wasn't my spot.

I pulled the blanket over my head, wishing I could just disappear.

Meanwhile... downstairs (3rd person POV)

Kamari stood by the kitchen, arms folded, eyes glued to the ceiling like he could see through it.

"She still ain't come out?" he asked Naiyah.

Naiyah shook her head, worry on her face. "Nope. Said she had a headache this morning, but this don't feel like that. She not even texting me back."

Kamari pulled out his phone, sighing. "Nah, DD gotta come fix this."

He hit the call button.

"Wassup?" DD answered.

"Mmtch... this about Ciara?" DD asked like he already knew.

"Yes the fuck it is," Kamari snapped. "Look, I know we cool and all, but you gotta come fix shit with my sister. I don't like seeing her locked up in her room all day."

"She don't even wanna talk to me, bro. She the one who broke up with me. She already blocked me."

"I don't care, nigga. You better come explain yourself. This whole thing is blowin' up on social media. She ain't even come out to eat-my dad mad as hell right now."

Kamari paused. "Look... I know you. I know you wouldn't do no dumb shit like that. So if there's a story behind that Lani mess, you need to come tell her. Fix it."

"She not gon believe me, she too hard-headed," DD mumbled.

"Ion care, nigga. Do sum! Buy her stuff. Say it to her face. Pull up if you gotta."

DD sighed loud. "Aight... bet."

Kamari ended the call as their dad walked in

"Is Ciara out that damn room?" He asked

Kamari and naiyah both shook their heads

"Well that little nigga better come and fix it before I come back from work, ion wanna see my daughter like that" he opened the door and left

Kamari sighed.....
____________

DD's POV

I stared at my screen even after Kamari hung up. Her name at the top, still blocked. That shit stung.

Man... I ain't even do nothin' for real. That whole kissing video was a setup. I ain't even know what was happenin,
I was high as fuck.

But that ain't what Ciara saw.

She saw the part that looked bad. The part that made her feel like I was a cheater.

And now she hate me for it.

I ain't even gon lie... losing her? That's the a time something actually hurt.

Ciara was different. She was home. She was peace.
