Sorry guys - I know this took way too long, I've been really busy. Hope you enjoy the chapter!
Rina cautiously peeped around a corner. Seeing that it was clear, she signalled to Shayne. They crept around it and snuck down the corridor. A great door lay in front of them, and from under the door a mysterious light shone. Rina felt a large presence of people behind the door... but why was it so quiet? Curiously she stole to the door and inched it open, before peering in.
Inside she could see a man laying on the floor. All around him stood people, people and more people... all surrounding him with grim faces. A few had tears trickling down their cheeks, and others simply stood stone faced.
Then Rina understood. The man on the floor was dead, and his family, friends and the residents of the Earth Castle as a whole were mourning him.
But who was the dead guy? Was he... the King?!
Rina opened the door a little bit more so she could get a better look. Beside the dead man stood another guy, except he was clothed in royal clothing, so Rina knew he was the King. That was a relief. The King is alive, thought Rina. That's good. We can still ask him for his help.
Shayne patiently leaned against the wall, waiting for Rina. He looked up when Rina silently shut the door. "What'd you see?"
"It seemed to be like some kinda funeral..."
"For who?"
Rina shrugged. "No idea. But it definitely wasn't the king. So we can still talk to the king and try to get his help."
"That's good..."
"Shayne. I think we should... go in and see what's going on."
Shayne glanced at her questioningly. "Why?"
"Because... we just should. I think we can use this chance to approach the king. Maybe. It's worth the try anyways."
"Ok, then."
Rina was about to open the door and sneak in, when she thought of something. "We should find another entrance, this one is too big and it would be too obvious if we just walked in." She spun around and dashed down the corridor without even waiting for Shayne's response.
"Wait! Rina!" He groaned and ran after her.
When he finally caught up with her, she was standing in front of a small beaten up door. Beyond it lay the room where the funeral was taking place. "Let's try this door..." Rina gently pushed the door open. She took a quick glance around before sneaking in, Shayne following closely behind. The entrance was at the back of the funeral room, so no one noticed them entering.
Suddenly a huge light burst out from the man's body, and Rina jumped back. Nobody else seemed bothered, they all merely continued to stare on. The body shuddered, before disappearing in yet another flash of light, leaving only bits of Earth behind. The Earth King gathered them and placed them in jar. "You will always be cherished in our memories." Then he gingerly placed the jar in a pocket, and the gathering dispersed.
Rina cautiously approached the King. The rest of the people had disappeared elsewhere in the castle, and only Rina, Shayne, and the King remained in the room. "What do you want?" The King's voice boomed.
Rina jumped back, startled. How had he known that they were there? "Um... I wanted to ask you something."
The King turned around and faced them. "First I have something to ask. "Who are you - and what are you doing in my castle? How did you get in?"
