I walked into my house throwing my bag on the floor and pulling out my phone to text Cal.
Cal pal
I'll be there at 6 :)
He responded with a simple okay.
I went up to my room and plugged my phone into my speakers and hit shuffle.
I looked at the clock and it read 4:34pm
'I have a while Until I have to be at the coffee shop so why not take a drive or visit Hailey..' I said unplugging my phone and throwing my hair up into a ponytail and ran down the stairs to my jeep. I hooked up my phone to my radio and played Little Things by Good Charlotte, and drove to Hailey's house.

I pulled into her driveway and seen that her car was in the drive way which was odd because her car is always gone.. I walked to her front door and let myself in. It's a normal thing I don't ever have to knock because we just have that friendship I guess. I took my shoes off at the door and looked around for Hailey.
" hails?! " I yelled about 4 times.
I walked up the spiral staircase to her bedroom door and I didn't bother knocking. I opened the door and revealed something I'd never want to see again.
" LUUKKKEEE! " I heard Hailey yell and I quickly slammed the door and ran back down the stairs grabbing my shoes and going back out to my jeep.
I was disgusted. 100% scared for life.. I just walked in on my best friend and her boyfriend fucking.. Yuck.
I started my jeep and drove into Ashton's driveway and seen that his car was there so I decided to say hi because there isn't anything for me to for awhile.
I walked up the pathway and knocked on his door. Seconds later Ashton's mum opened the door with a disgusted look on her face.
" can I help you? " she asked
" is ash here? " I asked with a smile
" no " she said slamming the door in my face.
As I was about to walk away the door opened again revealing Ashton in the doorway.
" hey babe is everything okay? " he asked shoving his hands in his front pockets
" yeah everything's great but you'll never believe what just happened " I said walking back to the front porch
" here sit with me and tell me " he said gesturing me to the spot next to him on the porch swing.
" I just walked in in Luke and Hailey " I said and we both just instantly started laughing.
"No way " he said catching his breath
" yeah I'm serious it was disgusting " I said
" I bet.. I couldn't imagine hearing my best friend moan Luke's name. She was probably like ' oh Lukey don't stop ' " he said in a girly voice.
" ew let's not relive that please " I said playfully slapping his arm.
" im sorry but that is just so funny. " he smiled
I pulled out my phone and read the time it was now 5:48
" oh shit I have to go " I said standing up
" what? Why? " he asked.
" uh Claudia and I are going out to dinner at 6 " I quickly thought of lie. I feel bad for lying but I couldn't tell him I was going to see calum. He'd flip shit. I'm not say that I won't tell him but I'm not right now.
" oh okay " he said walking towards me
" I love you " he said grabbing my waist
" I love you more " I said as he pulled me into a kiss.
" doubt it " he smirked.
I walked away and I heard a slight giggle coming from Ashton who was still on his front porch
" what? " I said with a smirk
" nothing you're just perfect " he said with a warm smile
I continued walking towards my jeep and started it. I put my sunglesses over my eyes and looked back at Ashton.
" no where near it " I said driving off to the coffee shop where I was meeting calum.
I couldn't help but think of how Ashton would react to this.. I know he told me I can be friends with whoever I wanted but I feel like I'm the bad guy for hanging out with cal.. I don't like calum. I mean sure he's cool but he will always just be a friend. Maybe not. I don't know.
Before I knew it I was at the coffee shop and I seen calum sitting in his car. I pulled up next to him and he instantly got out of his car.
" hey lyss " he said.
He looked pretty good. His fresh blonde streak in his hair was tossed all over the place. He had black sunglasses covering his eyes, and was wearing the usual black t shirt with black jeans. He looked really goo- stop Alyssa you're with Ashton.. I thought
" hi cal " I simply said getting out of my car.
We walked into the coffee shopped and ordered our coffee and sat at a table.
" so " I said setting down my drink
" so " he replied
" what is it that you wanted to talk about " I asked
" well, I just wanted to get to know each other better I guess." He said shyly
" alright what do you want to know? " asked putting y hands in my lap
" I don't know to be honest " he laughed
" well you obviously want to know something " I laughed
" okay so I kinda wanna talk to you about Ashton.. " he said looking down at his hands
" oh okay. What about him? " I asked
" well I don't know if you remember or not but, the first day we all met at the beach ash and I had a pretty bad fight. " he said looking at me
" okay "
" it was the worst fight we've ever had. I mean yeah best friends fight but it wasn't a normal argument. We physically fought over something so stupid! Hes tried to talk to me after that and I just can't answer him. I mean I can but I don't know how, I've just been so scared of him lately he's not the same, when we fought I seen a side of Ashton I always hoped to never see. " he stopped
" what were you fighting over calum " I asked
" you.. " he paused
My heart stopped for a second at the thought that I broke up their friendship. It's all my fault.
" but why? "
" when I first saw you I didn't know you and Ashton had a thing.. I thought you were just a friend of Claudia or Hailey which is odd because all three of you are friends but that's not my point.. I guess I was Looking at you a way ash didn't like and he took it the wrong way. Then when we got back to our place the day after he started yelling at me. Telling me to stop trying to get with you because he liked you. And I respected that. But Ashton just kept going bringing my family into an argument that had nothing to do with anything really hit me. And we exchanged some words and he pinned me to the ground and started hitting me. It just wasn't a pretty sight.. " he stopped
" I'm so sorry I did that to you guys " I said
" Alyssa it's truly not your fault. Ashton's just overly protective to girls that he likes " he said
" calum.. I think you should talk to ash.. " I said his head shot up and looked me into the eyes
" but what if- " I cut him off
" just talk to him okay " I shot him a smile
" okay " he smiled back
We were at the coffee shop for a good hour and a half after that conversation. He's a pretty cool guy, really sweet to. I just really hope he talks to Ashton and makes everything better..
