Prologue - Jack Frost
Like every winter, I have to go around making it snow and putting frost on the windows of every house. Berk was my favorite place to go during the winter because of this one Viking boy I see every time I go. I believe his name is Hiccup, but I'm really not sure. He's a very little kid so I'd have to wait a couple years to talk to him. I turned the pond into ice and made it snow. One day I would talk to this little kid, maybe even get to know him. Something about him made me feel warm inside, if that's even possible for someone like me. I shrugged and I flew away, leaving Berk far behind as I made the world a winter wonderland each winter.
Every winter I would see him and wonder if the time was right, to ask him who he was, how old was he, and if he could see me. As he grew up I saw him falling in love with a girl in his village. It made me so jealous that this girl was visible to him and I wasn't. I've always wanted him to see me, but it probably won't happen.
I've never been in love in my life. Especially with a guy.
