It was a wall of words
They wrapped around her like a cocoon
Trampled her in herds
And battered her like a great typhoonThe cocoon suffocated her
Breathing got harder
It was terrible, for sure
A terrible reminderThe herds came strong and fast
They stomped out her hope
Her happiness couldn't last
It was tied up with a ropeThe typhoon's fierce storm
Knocked her off her feet
But by now that was the norm
All these bad things, she could not deleteEvery other line
Was like a wound from a bullet
And each rhyme
Was like a punch in the gulletThey screamed in her ears
All at once, never ceasing
The pain that they caused
Not once, never easingStabs and kicks and jabs
All afflicted her soul
At her wounds she dabs
Never more shall she be wholeToo much was said
And it can't be taken back
It's already in her head
There it is, in her mind, a crackThe words infected her like a disease
Mean ones, she had heard
She just wanted them gone, please
It was so much, what she enduredThey never stopped
The words kept coming
Her guard she had dropped
No longer was she runningShe was trapped in
There was no way out
Against her was all this sin
and all the people with doubtAnd all their mean words
And deathly cocoons
Trampling herds
And great typhoons
