Ashley is laying in her room staring at the ceiling deep in thoughts as she thinks about her interaction with Prince Liam. She had tried brushing it off as another Distraction but unfortunately the Distraction was being too distracting for her.
Soon she hears a knock at her door and sits up properly before commanding for the maid to come in who had knocked earlier. She bows before speaking.
Maid : The king had asked you to visit him, your highness. He said it's a family meeting about an important upcoming event and there are a couple of important guests so please dress accordingly before going.
She bows again before taking her leave as Ashley's dismissal her and sighs to herself shaking her head slightly to shake off the thoughts about Prince Liam.
She dresses up in a formal dress and walked to the meeting room and nods slightly as formality as she takes her seat beside the King.

She looks up to scan the people in the room, as her whole family is here before her eyes lock with a pair of blue orbs causing her lips to past slightly in a pleasant surprise before she composes herself again but a smile had already made it's way to the latter's lips.
Liam : it's very nice to meet you again, Princess Ashley..
He says with a charming smile causing a few maids nearby to gasp at his ethereal charm and beauty. Ashley subtly glares at them and they all quickly scurry off outside leaving all of them alone.
Ashley : nice to see you too, Prince Liam. I suppose we're here to discuss something related to your kingdom?
She starts formally noticing his blushing sister sitting nervously fidgeting and avoiding eyes. She internally almost thinks 'cute' until Liam clears his throat being formal too.
Liam : well you're kind of right, Princess. But it's more than my kingdom. We're here to.. arrange my sister's marriage. With your brother.
He announces causing her other cousins to gasp and choke onto nothing and she looks back at Asher who had been avoiding eyes ever since she stepped in though she observed everything anyways.
Ashley : oh.. I suppose I'm not the last person to know about it considering my cousin's reactions..
She says death staring at Asher who finally looks at her. Though her perfectly maintained professional demeanor, disappointment was clear in her eyes.
Ashley : you didn't even think about telling me even once huh?
She telepaths and Asher looks down sheepishly but also slightly ashamed. She doesn't wait for him to reply or anything before turning the telepathic powers off and turning serious and professional.
Liam : you.. didn't know?
He's almost as shocked as her though it's clear on his face and he sighs softly seeing her serious and professional expression causing the air around them to charge up with tension.
Ashley : as every other thing, I suppose, again, that I'm here for my duties as the Lead of every Head and King's personal assistant. I'll arrange for the engagement as per the auspicious day according to our astrologer.
She looks at everyone waiting for anyone to say anything or object when no one does, she speaks again.
Ashley : Prince Seokjin and Prince Liam, arrange a list of all the guests that are to attend the party. Prince Namjoon and Hoseok, you are to help Prince Seokjin and Prince Suga can help too if it's too much. I'll take care of the decorations, outfits, security and.. the rings. So that's it. Everyone looks at her stunned and speechless at her formal and professional demeanor but says nothing but nods silently. The parents look at each other knowing that not telling her first about it was a mistake.

But the doom was done. Ashley nods and gets up dismissing the meeting from her side and walks out of the meeting room. Everyone exhales in sync as soon as her dominating aura is out of the room and Asher bites his lip and sighs.
Asher : it's my fault. She's treating us like a stranger as she felt we did.
He says finally addressing the elephant in the room and the others nod in approval. Liam looks at his younger sister who looked anxious by everything happening.
Liam : it's fine. Everyone let's get to work before she gets mad even more, yeah?
He says patting Aurora's knee and gets up walking out and everyone does too until it's only Asher and Aurora left alone. She stares at him for a long moment before walking over to his side and silently embraces him, he too says nothing and sighs against her as he holds her tighter against himself, inhaling her scent to calm his anxious mind.
On the other hand, Ashley arranged another quick meeting with the generals and other head of the departments and assigned everyone their tasks for the upcoming event and gave them all the timeline of a week.
They all shudder in synchronisation at her stern and commanding tone but say nothing and nod before bowing and leaving the room which kept getting colder and colder due to her bone-chilling Aura.
Security general : god, she's scary. I think she's mad.
Royal Designer Head : we should complete our task asap or she'll snap our heads.
He shudders making the other around him sweat and they all sigh before going to complete their assigned tasks. Liam who was on his way to search for her, hears all of them talking among themselves.
He asks one of them about where she was and the poor guard simply points at the meeting room before hurrying off.
Liam walks over to the room to see her leaning her both hands on the table and her head ducked down with her eyes closed. And his heartbeat fastens instantly despite the situation he can't help but find her incredibly attractive and beautiful.
He clears his throat, blush creeping up his neck and ears as he knocks gently on the door startling her as she fixes her posture instantly and looks up at him.
Ashley : ... Are you here to discuss any concerns about the task assigned to you, Prince Liam?
Liam : quit the formalities.. are you okay?
He says softly brushing a tentative hand around her arm before taking her small hand in his big ones. His eyes soften looking at her and he sighs stepping closer to her.
Liam : talk to me, please.. I know you're feeling so awful about Asher's sudden announcement but-
Ashley : can you maintain a respectful distance please, Prince Liam?
Ashley cuts him off coldly, catching him by surprise. And he steps back silently, his hand falling by his side again as he stares at her in disbelief at her harsh tone. Wondering if he overstepped her boundaries.
