I was wearing a full-piece suit-black pants, white shirt, and a fitted black blazer. As I stepped into the venue, the neon lights danced across the walls, and loud music hit my ears like a wave. I hated crowded places like this, but tonight was different. I wasn't here to enjoy. I was here for my little disaster-my chaos, my calm.

My eyes scanned the place, and soon enough, I spotted my baseball team standing not too far. All these years of university these guys are the only one with whom I liked to talk. They were laughing as always I sighed and walked towards them, hands in my pockets.

"Oh! My! Taehyung, you look hot man!"Ji-hoon joked, lifting his glass in the air.

I gave a small smile and replied, "You guys are not looking any less either."

"Honestly, we didn't think you had show up," Woobin said, raising a brow. "You always ignore hangouts, parties and stuff like this."

Before I could say anything, Hyunwoo jumped in with a knowing grin. " Woobin, you really don't know, huh? He's not here for us. He's here for her. Come on, Taehyung , admit it."

A chuckle slipped from my mouth before I could stop it. I remembered how she used to follow me around, how I used to act like she didn't exist. But she was stubborn. She never gave up on me-and now, I couldn't even imagine a day without her.

When I looked up, they were all staring at me with their mouths hanging open.

"What? You guys saw a hawk or something?" I said, clearing my throat.

"Actually," Woobin said slowly, "we just saw Kim Taehyung smiling to himself like some lovesick teenager. That's a rare sight."

"Shut up," I muttered, laughing a little. "Before I smack your head, you idiot-"

"Oh my!!! Hyung!! You hit the jackpot for real!" Hyunwoo suddenly exclaimed, pointing behind me.

My brows furrowed as I turned in the direction they were all staring. And there she was. My breath caught in my throat.

She stood under the lights like a dream-dressed in a long, black satin gown that hugged her body like it was made just for her. Her long hair was tied in a soft bun, a few strands falling perfectly around her face. Her lips wore a light nude shade and her eyes... God, those eyes. So deep, I could drown in them forever.

The delicate necklace around her neck-the tiny silver star I gave her-sparkled gently under the lights. It sat right over her collarbone, the very spot I loved to kiss when we were alone. She looked... mine. Every inch of her.

Her eyes moved around the room, searching-for me.

I didn't wait. My legs moved on their own, ignoring the shouts and teasing from the boys behind me. I couldn't hear a word. My entire world narrowed down to one person standing in the middle of a crowded hall.
