It was again, during lunch time, when I had to go to the bathroom, that something happened.
"Tell me who she's seeing!"
"Fucking ask her yourself if you want to know so bad!"
It was in the hallway. Not the one where my locker was, the one on the way to the girl's bathroom.
Two boys. One of them was pushed against the locker, the other one held his fist to the other's face.
"Hey, Olivia. Who the fuck are you cheating on me with? Does that sound like something I'm supposed to ask?"
It was Olivia's boyfriend. Josh, I think, part of the football team.
"Of course not!"
"Then tell me, Sean!"
Another guy appeared. I reconized this one, Dante, Clarissa's boyfriend.
"Let him go, Josh. He knows no shit."
And they left.
And for once, I wished I was just listening through paper walls.
Because maybe then, Sean Hayes wouln't be staring back at me.
"You saw."
"I won't tell."
He smiled, a very small and beautiful smile that yelled danger.
"You better not."
