-??? POV-
I can't wait to see my brother. Tyler left me here, and I can't wait until he comes back. The dragon still has me trapped in this damn tower. My room has only gotten more messy and disastrous since Tyler left. The years of being stuck in here have worn me out, and I'm sick and tired of this goddamn tower.
Tyler has to come back. He knows the consequences. I already showed him. 2 weeks left, Tyler. Be here.-Sky's POV-
Today is the day. Ty has been antsy and stressed for weeks now. He has to go home, or people will die. We both know this. We pack nothing, and leave while everyone is still asleep.
The only one that knows of our plan is Seto, and he's promised me to stay quiet. Ty and I teleport to the cell block of the Aether castle. He grabs my hand, and I lead him to the Nether portal. We jump through, and I teleport him to the End portal. On the edge, he turns back. "I'll see you later if I can. If not, I'll miss all you guys."
With that, he falls in backwards, and is consumed by the portal water.-Ty's POV-
After I dip into the water of the portal, I find myself in my room. An enderman is in here, cleaning. He jumps, and bows. "Prince Tyler. Welcome home." I smile, "Wonderful to be back. Thank you." I dismiss him.
I jump out of my tower, and see Anthony, staring out his window. My wings and eyes flicker back to green, and this time, they stay green. Anthony's face lights up, and I see him rush to his door. He slams on his door, but can't come out. Sensing my true presence, the dragon releases the magic lock on Anthony's door, and he comes flying out.
We collide midair, and Anthony pulls my wing straight, taking my balance. We both crash and roll on the ground. The dragon lands in front of us, and growls at me. I understand it fine, because everything from the End knows the language. "Tyler. Anthony. You two have a long week ahead. Stop goofing off and go to bed. Especially you Tyler. You've been on an Aether schedule far too long. Good night."
"Good night." For a change of scenery, Anthony sleeps in my room. But the dragon was right. I've been on an Aether schedule too long, and I can't sleep. But sleep finds me, and I pass out.
A week of doing random shit together later, and the day arrives. April 17th. Anthony shakes me out of bed, and together we leap to the ground from my tower top. There are cracks in the Endstone in several places, because I always did that. Today, I got to do it with Anthony.
We both create thick, extensive cracks in the Endstone, and we goof off as we walk to the center of the mainland. The dragon is there, waiting. We walk faster, and wait as we stand in front of the dragon. The dragon stands, and tells us, "You two knuckleheads have reached your 17th birthday. You both know that this means you are considered adults. In which case, the power you currently possess is much too little. Fly to the crystals on your towers, and receive the new power set."
Anthony and I do as we're told, and we fly to the top of our towers. The beams on the crystal pull at me, and they envelop my arms, chest, and neck. As the crystal holds me, I can feel the power. The crystal lets go, and goes back to its normal shape. Anthony looks at me from his tower, a grin spreading on his face.
The dragon ignores us, and goes back on its normal course around the mainland. I leap off my tower again, and the one spot that never cracked, no matter how much I landed on it, shattered. Pebbles flew everywhere, and the Endstone crumbled under me. Anthony broke some Endstone on the side of his tower too. But this time, the dragon can't lock him in his room anymore.
He's too powerful, and he's considered too old to be treated in such ways. His insanity has faded into the abyss, but he still isn't to be trusted. With promised to keep he closest watch on him possible, I lead Anthony to the portal. We drop into the water, and land in the grass. Anthony shuts his eyes, and growls at the light, while I just blink and get used to it again.
I picture Grace's house in my head, hold Anthony's hand, and teleport to the house. We appear on the front steps, and Anthony is still blinded. I hear the door open behind us, and I turn to find Mitch. His eyes widen, and he yells inside, "OH MY GOD!!!! TY'S BACK!!!!!!" Anthony shakes his head a few times, and opens his eyes.
He frowns at me. "Who's Ty?" "Anthony. It's me. Take off the last three letters of Tyler, and you get Ty. Is it really that hard?"
He nods just as everyone comes out of he house. He backs up, but I keep a steely grip on his hand so he can't run. Sky reaches the door, and he smiles. When Vikk, Lachlan, Preston, and Rob reach the door, they look scared, and confused. They all know me, but not the normal me with wings and a tail.
Mitch and Jerome come over and hug me, then back up when they see Anthony. "Guys... Meet my twin brother. Anthony. Anthony, these are my friends I'd met here in the Aether. Be nice." Everyone waves, and Anthony looks overwhelmed. He'd never been in the Aether, and still has to figure out English. I'd caught on quickly, listening to Sky, and I didn't know how Anthony would pick up on it.
He clearly wasn't sure, and was still speaking Endertongue. He couldn't pick up on the English language of the Aether. "What is the language here?" "Anthony, the language is called English. I don't know why, it's strange to me too. You just have to learn it best you can." He tried, and couldn't get it. He's gonna need some practice.
For now, Anthony will speak to me alone, because only I can understand him. It'll take time to teach him English. The four younger boys still look afraid of us, so I coax them forward. "Guys, it's still me. What you saw of me wasn't the true me. This is. We won't hurt you." Vikk and Rob brave it, and come closer. Preston and Lachlan stay put.
Vikk tries to touch my wing, and I flinch when his little hands actually touch my wing. His tiny hands are warmer than most, but it still feels awkward to have him touching my wing. He lets go when I flinch, but I see curiosity in his eyes. He's curious as to how my wings work. It's the prominent question I see in his facial expression.
Rob keeps his hands in his pockets, afraid. Preston and Lachlan find the courage to step closer. I hold out my hand, and wait for one of the four to take it. Preston takes my hand first, and his little lava hand glows in my larger hand. He looks at me, and ask Anthony to fly up with us. I hold Preston against me, and I shoot upwards. Around 20 feet, I stop, and let him look around.
Preston seems fascinated, and he stares at the horizon. I watch him, but keep Anthony in my peripheral vision. I still don't trust him, so I have to watch him carefully. I slowly let myself lose altitude, and we float back down to the ground. I finally ask Brice and Seto to cast a binding spell on Anthony, so he stays put.
While Anthony stays on the ground securely, I repeat the process I had with Preston with the other three. All of them found the view incredible, but Vikk was very curious, and watched my wings as they moved. I smiled at his curiosity, and floated down so he could touch solid ground once more. Everyone went to bed soon after, because the Aether and End worked on different time schedules. Antony and I would be up for a while longer.
My brain had shifted back to End time, so my sleeping schedule was different from everyone else's. Anthony and I brawled outside for a while, but our nighttime finally arrived around the Aether's 5am. Just as I fell on the couch, I saw Seto wake up for the day, coming in the living room for breakfast. The binding spell followed Anthony. He would be stuck in the house from now on until I physically pulled him out the door.
We crashed on the couches, Sky had slept in his room, and Mitch and Jerome had shared their room with Lachlan and Vikk. Seto was already awake, so I knew everyone would be waking up soon, but Anthony and I are just now falling asleep. Now it'll be a rarity for Anthony and I to be awake when everyone else is. Our time is reversed with the Aether. We sleep during the Aether's day, and they sleep during the End's day.-Seto's POV-
I woke up around 5 o clock, and just as I went out to find breakfast, I could see Anthony and Ty crashing on the couches. The End time must've caught up with Ty, and Anthony had never left it. Now we'd barely see them awake, and we have to be careful around them while they sleep. End creatures are light sleepers, so everyone will have to be incredibly silent when in the house. If someone wakes either of them, they'll be very angry, and it will be very hard to relax them.
As I reach the kitchen, I see Mitch stumbling down the hallway. I stop him with a look, and motion him to be quiet. I point to Ty and Anthony, and Mitch's face lights up as he understands. Mitch takes a piece of drawing paper, a crayon, and a piece of tape. On the paper he writes, 'Quiet! Ty and Anthony are asleep!' He tapes it to a Popsicle stick, and tapes the Popsicle stick to the wall so that the message is floating in the hallway. Smart idea.
Mitch and I eat our breakfast outside, afraid of disturbing Ty and Anthony. Soon enough, Brice joins us, and so do Sky and Jerome. In no time, everyone is outside, eating and talking. Brice's bandages get switched out, and his face is starting to heal, but some of the damage, such as his eye being gouged out, will never heal. I check to see if I can speed up the healing process, and I can.
I help the cuts heal much more, to a point where most of them barely exist. Sky and I craft a mask. It's made of silicon, and it matches Brice's skin tone. It rests on his face, and covers the injured area. It just looks like there never was an eye in the first place, like he asked, so it doesn't look weird.
Everyone goes off to do their own thing, and Grace and Josh go to work. Mitch gets news before Josh leaves. Mitch doesn't have to attend school ever if he so chooses. He jumps at the opportunity, and he officially never has to go to school. I laugh, because even if I was allowed, I wouldn't go. I'm not allowed for 3 reasons. 1) I'm too young, 2) I'm from the fantasy pocket, and 3) I'm a dark sorcerer. Brice would be allowed, because he 'poses no threat to society'.
The laws made in this world are ridiculous. Brice is my age, and they don't consider him too young because he's a light sorcerer. He's from the pocket as well, and they don't take that into account either. I wonder what goes through their minds. But Josh and Grace leave, and everyone settles down and does whatever.
