-Sky's POV-
Being a nine year old in the rain is scary enough, but being totally frustrated by it is another thing. Being frustrated by rain with the Wither's curse is nightmarish. Outside stimulus is useless unless you have a tight bond with the person. Insanity is again inevitable, and it's very hard to bypass. Like I thought.
The explosion rocked me. I grabbed Starlight's harness, and she pulled me in the direction I felt Ty run in. I understood where Jason was, and it freaked me out. He had headed straight for my mother's village. And it wasn't good for him to be out.
The rain poured down, and I shivered. Starlight dragged me through the mud, and sat at the edge of the asphalt path to the village. I stepped onto the asphalt, and followed the path of energy to Jason. I reached the energy just fine, but I found no Jason.
All I found was asphalt, and I realized. Jason wasn't level with me. He was above me. And I had to get him. So I tossed myself in the air, and found Jason's shoe, tugging down.
He tumbled down with me, and wailed as I pulled him into my arms. He cried, and simply laid limp in my arms. But he struggled against me, and tried desperately to pull away. He wasn't himself, and I could feel a drastic change in him. It was hurting him.
"Jason! Jason please! Relax! It's just rain!" "No! Let go of me!" "Jason! You need to understand! Settle down! You're going to hurt someone!" "I don't care! Let GO!" "Fine! But when you hurt me, or your dog, don't come crying to me about it. Or anyone else."
"So be it. Now let go!" I let go of him, just as I said I would. Jason heaved for a minute, and I backed away. "Jason?" "What."
"When you hurt someone, I want to hear nothing about it. Unless it's absolutely serious." "Then let it be so! Leave me be, Sky." "Jason!" "What?!" "Just know that if you don't come back, I will look for you, and if you still act so, I will lock you down in a cell! Count on it!" "Then I'll see you there!"
It was painful, but I turned away, and somehow got back to the castle, slightly dragging Starlight behind me. Ty walked slightly ahead to clear the path. I no longer heard Jason, and blocked out any thought of the words he'd spat at me. He didn't care about it. About anything. The insanity killed his care.
His gentle nature was gone, and replaced with frustration, and insanity. A few days passed, and the rain slowed to a light drizzle. It was dreary out, and it was terribly foggy. Jason hadn't returned, and it was worrying. Ian spent the last few days at the front gate, under an oak, watching for Jason's return.
Ian was frustrated and mad because I refused to let him off the property. Finally, after four days, I felt Jason. Front gate, leaning on it heavily. His energy felt fragile, and small. He'd done something bad.-Ty's POV-
When Jason hit the gate, I sprung to my feet, and opened the gate. Jason fell into me, and I caught him. He was limp, and exhausted. There were blood stains on his clothes, and his bare fingertips were stained red with blood as well. He looked bad.
"Jason. Jason?" He shifted in my grip, and laid himself out of my arms and onto the concrete. He went entirely limp there as he passed out. Jason's eyes were a blank white now, the pupils and irises gone, just a plain white slate. I picked him up and carried him inside.
I was met at the door by Sky and Herobrine. Sky held out his arms for Jason, and I handed him over. Jason's head lolled into Sky's chest, and Sky didn't flinch. He walked out of the room, taking Jason up the tower staircase. Herobrine followed Sky.
I shook myself off from the rain, and the wolves around me glared, now slightly wet. "What! Gimme a break!" One snorted at me in response. "Oh, and I don't see you shaking off! If it bothers you so much, shake it off."
They all did so. But I froze when I heard a scream from the stairwell. "Sky? Jason?" The scream echoes out again. "Ty!" Sky's voice.
"Yes?!" I asked desperately. "Get me something cold! Like an ice cube!" "Got it!" I ran for the kitchen to grab an ice cube.
I ran up the steps to Sky's room, and found Jason hanging over the side of the bed, and out the window. Sky pulled Jason in, and handed him the ice cube. Jason was pale, and he looked terrible, like he was sick. He popped the ice cube in his mouth, and took the leftover freezing melted water and swiping it along his forehead and cheeks. He looked thankful for company at this point.
Jason is gonna be going through a rough patch if this keeps up. For a few months, it did keep up, and Jason was sick nearly every day. It was disheartening to see him so defeated and upset. Ian got reckless, and spent more time with a sword outside, sparring with Mitch than anything. Preston and Rob always seemed to be in one of two places. The archery range or Rob's room/office.
They'd both adapted to royalty living, and Rob seems to have taken Preston as a queen or something. Either way, the queen's crown was nestled deep in Preston's unruly, dark red-orange hair. His yellow eyes sparkled and glowed with excitement. And now that they were both 12, they seemed more connected. They never left each other's side. They were like... glued.
Vikk had gotten a handle on his speech, and Lachlan wouldn't let go of him. As I've previously stated, Ian, Mitch, and Jerome spent most of their time at the armory and the arena. They're very skilled, and they're only... What. 15? Ian had turned 17 with Seto and Brice.
But Anthony and I were both getting super twitchy for no reason. I can't have anyone walk behind me, or it freaks me out. The wolves mess with me, not even playfully. They mess with me because they dislike me. Who I am is what they really don't like.
Me being a dragon hybrid has the wolves on edge. They don't like Anthony either. We have to skirt around the wolves. Getting too near one results in a growl. Well, I'm like, 23 now... So fuck the wolves. They're just bullies now to Anthony and I.
And the twitching hasn't gone away. I've actually kept Anthony in our room just in case. In the End, you only eat a little bit every few days, so it surprised me when everyday Anthony seemed hungry. But the rain storm from a few months ago bugged me. It lasted two weeks without stopping, only slowing.
And I could distantly see a lot of black clouds growing in the east. I flew up and above the clouds once, which was a mistake. In seconds, I knew it was a long one. The clouds stretched far and wide, as far as the eye could see. And the clouds were all an inky black.
I flew below it, and found a sheet of rain coming. I shot back to the castle, and told Sky to lock Jason down.
"Why?! What's wrong?" "We've got another storm blowing in, and it's not little." "Ty, we can't do that to him. He's only 10." "Do you want to go back out to find him in the pouring rain again?" "Not really..." "Then lock him down. It'll be better for everyone."
Sky went to go wake Jason. But a sudden pain hit me, and I heard Anthony react to the same thing. 10 flights of stairs apart, and I could still hear him scream louder than me. I crumpled to the floor of Sky's room, and fell on my side. My whole body screamed in pain, and it disappears just as fast.
I make my way to our room, and the pain hits me again. I drop to the floor in the doorway, and Anthony crumples with me. We're both experiencing the same thing, and neither of us are aware of what it is. I can't handle it, and it's incredibly painful. Anthony helps me up when it stops once again.
I cringe as I noticed I had twisted my ankle. I sit against the wall of the room, and Anthony leans on the bed. Now we're irritated, and we're still twitchy to boot. Whatever happened, wasn't spur of the moment random. It was planned or just on purpose.
A creepy white smile stood suddenly between us, and it glanced down at me, then at Anthony. The smile got even creepier, and the eyes appeared. They were glowing white, just like the smile. The eyes suddenly turned to gold, and it got creepier. Sky appeared. The smile disappeared, but the eyes stayed. Because they belonged to Sky.
He glanced down at me, and looked confused. "Why am I down here?" "I don't know man, but something creepy just happened." "I don't really wanna know, but still why am I down here? I still have to get Jason downstairs. The rain started. I gotta go!"
He teleported away. He was right too. I could hear the rain starting to pound on the roof. This is gonna be one long and weird storm.-Sky's POV-
I finally got Jason locked down, and he fell asleep soon after, so I didn't have to keep him entertained. The rain poured down, and I ran upstairs in time to watch Jerome run in, dripping wet. Mitch ran in after, with Ian close behind. The female wolf of the pack padded over, and licked Jerome and the others dry. But Jerome still shook himself like a bacca.
Even though he wasn't currently a bac, his teeth had stayed sharp, his habits hadn't changed, and his eyes stayed their silvery gray. Preston had the same thing. His bandana was rarely seen up or down for too long- almost like routine, his eyes were a glowing yellow, like glowstone from the Nether. His hair was a dark red-orange, like lava. His shirt, bandana, and fingerless gloves were decorated and designed like lava.
They both clearly felt fine with this, but I'd take them back to the pocket on the rare occasion when they'd ask. But now that Preston had practically become a queen to Rob, he asked more frequently, to relieve stress. Jerome came with, just because. Mitch and Jerome would both go to visit their parents still, so at least they had that going.
But their parents were getting older, and they didn't do as much. A month had passed after Mitch and Jerome's birthday last year, and their dad passed. A week after my birthday in May last year, their mom passed too. So now that they're both in their higher teen years, they seem to have accepted it faster.
This storm is already tearing into the land, and I can't see outside. Everyone settled, and Jerome somehow ended up sleeping between the paws of the female wolf. Mitch had gone to bed, and so had Ian. But I sat in the main hall, petting the alpha absently.
"This is gonna be a long one. Isn't it?" He snuffed in reply.
"Yes, brother."
