I'd just like to let everyone know that I will be going camping from Friday until Sunday, so unfortunately I won't be updating any of my stories until Sunday. But I will keep writing ( a little ) and should post a few chapters of this fanfiction and one chapter of my other one.
Now that that's out of the way, read on!

3rd person view
You hadn't heard from your parents since your 10th birthday. Even though you hated your parents for what they did to you, you for some strange reason, kept the card they sent you on your dresser and everyday, read it. You had been reading it through every day for 6 years now. As today was your 16th birthday, you were finally old enough to join the survey corps. Levi, hanji and Erwin knew that it was your dream to be just like them and had already fitted you with your uniform and Cape. You got dressed into your freshly made uniform and made sure that it was to Levi's standards. He had taught you how to look presentable and how to clean properly too. You walked out of your room after brushing your hair. As you walked down to the mess hall, Erwin picked you up bridal style and walked you to his office. He sat you down in a chair opposite his desk and then sat down in the chair behind it. He put his hands on the desk and stared at you. You stared back.
"Ha! You blinked first! I win!" You said leaping from the chair in victory, Erwin sighed and nodded his head.
"You win every time, have you been training with Levi on how to win a staring contest?!" He exclaimed in defeat. "Alright, down to business." He said his face turning more serious. I nodded.
"You don't have to do the 3 years of training like the rest of the new recruits will have done, because you have been training with us since you were 9, but you will no longer be able to address us the way you used to. From now on, you are to call me commander Erwin, and Levi, captain." Erwin explained. You nodded and let out a sigh.
"Umm.... Will i still be staying in my room... Or do I have move in with the other cadets?" You questioned.
"Unfortunately, you will have to room with the other cadets for the first month, but if they annoy you then I don't see why you can't renovate to your room." Erwin said. You nodded and stood up.
"Will that be all commander?" I asked. He nodded and a turned around and began to walk out of the room. Erwin cleared his throat and you stopped and turned around to face him.

Your POV
I turned around when Erwin cleared his throat.
"Aren't you forgetting something?" He said. I thought for a moment and then it clicked,
"Oh, sorry commander!" I said my face blushing a little bit. I did the salute I was taught and looked down at the ground.
"What's wrong Y/N?" He questioned me.
"I-it's just that I've worked so hard, I had everything down pat. I would do the salute by accident whenever I was given an order" I hung my head lower. "I-I just feel like a failure." I said, trying to fight back the tears.
"Cadet Y/N, you are not weak, and today is important, so it is normal to be a little bit nervous." He said calmly. "Now go and make some friends." He said waving me out of  in his office. I smiled,a small walked out, closing the door behind me. As I walked into the mess hall, hanji ran to me screaming,
"Y/N!! Y/N!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!" I blushed and said thank you to her, I had told everyone not to make a big deal out of it, but hanji obviously didn't listen. I continued to  walk to were the new recruits were being orientated. As I looked around, I noticed that there were only about 207 people. I sighed, Levi had told me that in previous years there had been to many to count, I was a little disappointed but, at least there were some people. I walked to where Levi had told me to stand. As the sun set a little bit further, everyone was socialising and I was still standing where I was, alone...
I looked around and then suddenly, I felt a hand rest on my shoulder. I quickly turned around, expecting to see one of the new recruits introducing them selfs. Instead, Levi was standing in front of me. I looked up at him and his scowling face.
"What are you doing here?!" I snapped. He sighed and put both hands on my shoulders.
"I'm here to wish you luck, stupid! And also to let you know, that you don't have to join the survey corps, I don't want you to get hurt so, if you want you may join the MP's." He said, looking me directly in the eyes. I glared at him.
"What are you trying to say?! I'll be fine! I'm not going to join the military police and you've known that from the start! Levi! Your such an idiot!" I yelled, by now people were staring at us. I heard people murmur things such as 'that's captain Levi of the survey corps' and 'who is that girl?'. I ignored them and waited for Levi to reply.
"I understand that but, after all you know, about all of the people you have known to go in a mission and not return, I thought you would not want the same fate." He said not looking at me anymore. I punched him in the gut, and then kicked his legs out from under him, I stood over him.
"You should learn to keep you guard up. I'll see you soon, now I have an orientation to attend to, also you might want to get that dirt off of your uniform." I said, and walked away. I heard Levi chuckle a little bit.
'yes!! I finally won!!' I though to myself.
I walked away and stood in a different spot and waited for the orientation to begin, instead of being alone like I previously was, I was confronted by 3 new recruits.
"Hi, I'm armin, this is eren." He said gesturing to the boy with brown hair, "and this is mikasa." He gestured to the girl with black hair and a scarf. I smiled and nodded. They just looked at me. I blushed.
"Hey, why were you talking to captain Levi? He's like the best there is." Eren exclaimed.
"Um... Well. It's kinda complicated." I replied. Mikasa nodded.
"Looks like it, the way you beat him up like that. What were you talking about?" She questioned you eagerly. Armin butted into the conversation.
"Only if you don't mind us asking!" He said, he obviously was trying to make a good impression.
"No, it's fine. Levi... Um... I mean the captain was just wishing me luck, that's all..." They all stared at you in disbelief.
"Why would the captain wish you good luck? From the rumours I've heard, it doesn't sound like he'd do something like that." Eren said, looking at you curiously, your eyes met erens and you just stared into them. His green eyes seemed very familiar, the way they seemed to glow.
"Umm... We never actually caught your name. What is it?" Armin asked with a light smile.
"Oh, it's um... Y/N L/N." You said.
"Well, I'm armin arlet. Mikasa Ackerman and Eren Yeager." Armin said. I was shocked to hear all of their names.
"Yeager... Your name sound familiar." I told Eren, he looked back at me and said,
"Your name sounds kinda familiar too. I wonder why that is? Hehe..." He said, before we could talk anymore the orientation began. It was finally time to choose the paths we were going to take.
