[Nate's P.O.V]
"It was a tragic, tragic day your honor" my mother began. "I was home when my son walked in and he wanted to tell my husband and I something."
"He was sitting on the couch and I was standing up waiting for my husband to come" she explained, making a couple of gestures with her hands.
Judge Roberts held up his hand. "If I may ask, where is your husband now?"
Ooo, this was going to be interesting.
She murmured some words under her breath, and looked at the judge, teary eyed. "My...my husband couldn't attend today because he was needed elsewhere. You know money isn't easy to come by these days."
I was about to slap a b*tch. How could she lie about my father and her separating? Judge Roberts needed to hear the truth, and I was about to give it to him.
"Your honor, may I speak?" I blurted out. I might have interrupted his train of thought, but he needed to know.
"Sure, go on ahead."
"My father didn't have business to attend to, he and my mother separated after he found out that she was cheating on him."
The audience started to murmur among each other, until the judge banged his gavel.
"Order!"
The audience immediately got quiet, and the judge continued to speak.
"Mrs.." He said, unsure if he shouldn't even call her that. "Mrs. Alexander, why did you have to lie?"
"I was embarrassed your honor" she exclaimed. "After losing my son, it was hard even thinking about loading my husband."
Why was she acting this out? If she loved my father, then she would have showed respect in their relationship.
"Okay, now back to our cases" Judge Roberts said. "Now your suing the Woods family for taking your son without any adoption papers."
"Yes your honor, I don't know how this happened" she agreed. "One moment he was there and the next minute he was gone."
Judge Roberts looked at me. "So Mr. Alexander, you stated that your mother, or both parents at the time disowned you. Is that correct?"
"Yes" I approved. "She wanted to take me into therapy after I told her that I was gay. I said that I didn't want to, and she slapped me after I told her that it wasn't my choice."
"Do you have pictures of any markings to approve your claim?"
My mother smirked, and straightened her position.
"No your honor, but I do have something even better" I told him, grabbing the hard drive. "Our home has cameras planted everywhere inside. And here is the footage of that very tragic day."
My mother's eyes widened like she's just seen a ghost. Yeah, I bet she didn't see that coming. After the judge sees this, it's over.
One of the judge's helpers took the hard drive out of my hand and gave it to Judge Roberts.
"I'll be right back in a second."
My mother was loosing it right now. You could literally see her teeth chatter. A few moments later Judge Roberts came back.
"Now, Mr. Alexander your asking for the adoption process to go by quicker. Is that correct?"
"Yes your honor."
Please say yes, please say yes, I'm begging you. Let me stay with a family that cares, and I'll be happy.
