The Summer of a Lifetime (BoyXBoy) [Book One]

Chapter Nine

[Nate's P.O.V]

We arrived at the beach near sunset so we could find the perfect spot. There was no telling how many people were gonna come. Each year the audience gets bigger, and the fireworks are better. Jasmine and her new friend wondered off somewhere, leaving me alone with Liam.

"The sky looks beautiful, doesn't it?" Liam asked. Wrapping his arm around my shoulder.

"Yea," I said looking at him. "You're eyes really pop out."

He blushed, and kissed me. It was a very passionate kiss, which filled my stomach with butterflies, but something just wasn't right. I know I'm not going crazy, but his kiss feels the exact same way Sebastian kissed me at the party. I tried to push the thought away, and enjoy myself in his presence.

The kiss could have lasted longer, but his phone rang having him to leave. Jasmine and Sophia came back, which felt like a century.

"Where have you two been?"

They both looked at each other and blushed. "No where out of the ordinary."

"I wasn't born yesterday" I joked, still waiting for the explanation.

"Okay we were making out over there" she confessed, pointing near a small place that I didn't recognize.

"Uhh..." Jasmine said. "Nathan can I speak to you for a sec?"

"Sure."

We walked to the place where, Jasmine and Sophia were kissing, and she explained what happened.

"I ran across from Sebastian," Jasmine said, looking around as if we were being watched.

"What happened?" I asked, but it felt like more of a demand.

"Don't get me wrong, Liam is a good guy but-"

"Don't tell me your picking sides with him," I interrupted, raising my voice s little.

"Calm down Nate" Jasmine pleaded, holding her hands out.

"Now as I was saying, something just isn't right. I haven't seen anyone so depressed as Sebastian is. He's so confused at what happened at the party that he doesn't even know what to do with himself now."

"He knew exactly what he has done and it was his decision to embarrass me in front of the whole party." I hissed, trying to hold back the tears.

"I'm telling you Nate, he's not acting. He wouldn't have done anything to hurt you like this, he-"

"Don't you say that he loved me!" I yelled at her.

I turned around, and walked back to Liam where he was eating for me. I wiped away the tears, and sat right next to him.

"Everything okay?" Liam asked worriedly.

"Mhmm" I reassured him that everything was okay.

The sun disappeared and the moon glazed upon the water now giving it a nice look. A announcement came on, telling us that the fireworks were going to begin in five minutes. I looked around for Jasmine, and she was no where in sight. Neither was Sophia.

"Uh, would you mind taking me home for tonight?"

"No I wouldn't" he smiled and gave me a light kiss on the cheek.

Before we knew it, the whole beach was filled with families, couples, and friends. A few minutes later, the fireworks began. It was absolutely amazing. From the colors of our nations, to the colors of the rainbow, it was really a awe moment. They truly do surprise me each year with these fireworks.

I looked over at Liam who was staring at the fireworks in awe also. He was really enjoying.

"Happy Fourth of July Nate" Liam said,  grabbing my face and kissed my lips.

I have to admit that it was very sudden, but I enjoyed it. He was such a good kisser, I just wanted to stay like this forever.

After a few more minutes of fireworks, and kissing, it was time to go. Jasmine, nor Sophia was still around. They probably left and were back at the house.

I got into Liam car, and buckled up. Liam got in, gave me that wonder smile of his, and locked all the doors. Both of his hands reached out to me, hopefully for another kiss. But instead, he grabbed my neck.

I didn't know what to do right now, I tried to stop him from coking me, but nothing happened. He was way too strong for me.

"Argh" I managed to squeeze out, as he grip got tighter and tighter.

"Don't worry baby" Liam said, making a friend face. " I'm not gonna kill you."

The pressure from his neck was overwhelming, and I couldn't take it a anymore. After a attempt to unlock the door, to screaming for help, I just gave up. After that everything went black.

[Sebastian's P.O.V]

"Yes officer" I told him, waiting impatiently for him to pick up again. "I'm positive that he has been gone for a week and a half now."

I could hear Jasmine, and Sophia on their phones also trying to get hopeful news about Nate. After the Fourth of July, Jasmine invited me to stay with her until Nate got back so we could try to convince him that I wasn't lying. But after two days without coming back, we reported him missing and still haven't heard a word since then.

Each night was another sleepless night. Each time the phone rang, we hoped that it was from the police or Nate. But it was nothing. No trace of Nate has been found yet.

Something tells me that this was all my fault. That I should have fought for Nate, instead of watch him be with him.

All I know is that this is Liam's doing because we haven't heard from him either. But we didn't tell the police that, because we didn't need anything going on the news yet.

If anything, we should have just left the police out of this all together. At the end, it would be Jasmine, Sophia, and I, looking for Nate. And I will not sleep until he is found.

I really hope you enjoyed this chapter. I'm absolutely sorry for a month or two without updating. School has been really tough for a while, and I just needed to make sure my grades were where they should be at the end of the quarter. And luckily I passed!!! So I am back. This story is not dead. I will still be writing even if it does take a while. Love you guys that are still reading my story.
