Lyric sat beside Alex in a booth, quietly sitting in Starbucks as trending pop songs played faintly, both of them sipping occasionally on their Caramel Frappucinos. Both of them had their smartphones out while Lyric scrolled through her Instagram, and Alex scrolled through Tumblr. "Oh. My. God!" Lyric gasped suddenly, holding her phone out to Alex who then also gasped.

"Dude! He is like a perfect ten out of ten, look at those abs!" Alex commented on an attractive males Instagram picture, her eyes shimmering with desire.

"Right? Like damn." Lyric continued on as she double tapped the picture fifty times and Alex giggled quietly.

The silence grew again as they continued scrolling through various social media apps. Lyrics eyes moved from the screen of her phone and over to Alex. Alex was allowing her hair to fall into her face as she kept scrolling through Tumblr. Lyric hadn't noticed until now, but Alex was wearing the infinity necklace that she gave to her on Christmas. God, she's beautiful. Lyric thought to herself with a small smile, returning her eyes to her phone, barely aware what she had just thought.

"So what's up?" Alex suddenly asked, locking her phone and turning to look at Lyric, "I mean, anything new?"

Suddenly, Lyrics whole face lit up as she remembered something important. "Yes!" She exclaimed, receiving an odd look from Alex. "My parents are leaving on a five day business trip tomorrow!" Lyric told Alex with a happy grin.

"Oh my gosh, yay!" Alex cheered, pulling Lyric into an excited hug. "Maybe we could have a squad night, Zeven comes back tomorrow and we could all go out." Alex suggested, pulling away from the hug, looking into Lyrics eyes with enthusiasm.

Slightly surprised when Alex pulled her in for a hug, Lyric smiled brightly back at her and nodded. "Yeah, that'd be fun, we should definitely do it!"

"Sounds like a date." Alex winked jokingly, suddenly standing up and putting one hand on her hip, "This calls for a game of Call of Duty to celebrate!" Alex exclaimed in a semi-serious voice.

"I'll call August, and make sure he's awake before we go raid his house." Lyric giggled as she pulled up Augusts contact information and called his number.

The phone ringed a good 3 times, and just as Lyric was about to hang up a familiar voice picked up the phone, "Hello? Lyric? Are you dying?" August asked tiredly clearly confused and half asleep.

"Hi! August, me and Alex are coming over to play some CoD. You better get your shit together before we get over there!" Lyric told him before hanging up, not giving him a chance to protest as Alex stared at her with a smirk on her face.

Lyric and Alex had always chosen to go to Augusts house to game because he had the best gaming set up out of everyone they knew, plus he had the most games and the best stereo speakers. "C'mon, let's get out of here." Alex said with a turn of her head, motioning towards the door.

Grabbing their empty frappucino cups, they threw them into the garbage before picking up their long boards and heading outside. Without any hesitation they began to ride along the sidewalks, knowing exactly where to go.

About ten minutes later, they arrived at Augusts house, a plain white house at the corner of the street. Walking up to the door, they felt no need to knock as they allowed themselves inside the house. The house was quiet, it wasn't abnormal. August was an only child, and his single mother was out at work so most days he was left home alone.

    "August?" Lyric called out.

    "Down here!"

Alex and Lyric looked at each other and shrugged, August rarely went into the basement so they must've changed something in their house. Heading down into the basement, the girls were left in shock as their jaws dropped.

The room was decorated with pictures of sexy girls and game posters, flashy lights were hung along the walls, the original concrete floor had been covered up with a black carpet. In one corner of the room there was almost a wall of speakers above a simple red desk that held a laptop and a simple Bluetooth stereo. Over in a different corner there was mini fridge beside a large queen sized bed that had black sheets and black pillows with a large fluffy Monster Energy Drink blanket. Then, at the farthest part of the room, there was a blank wall with a small ledge that held an Xbox One, Playstation 4, Wii U, another laptop and a gaming pc. On both ends of the ledge were two large back stereos. A few meters back from the ledge was a black couch, and above it was a slim projector that connected to the games.

"You did all this?!" Alex and Lyric gasped together, looking around their dream room as August sat up on his bed with a smug look.

"Well, my mom helped a bit, but it's really nothing..." He replied nonchalantly, acting as if it weren't a big deal.

"Oh piss off! This is amazing." Lyric rolled her eyes, placing her hands on her hips.

"Yeah! I'd kill for this room." Alex seconded.

"Kill me then." August said with a half smile, half smirk.

"Maybe I will, just not today." Alex smiled sweetly, walking over to the couch and plopping down.

"Pussy." August joked under his breathe as Alex passed him.

Rolling her eyes, Lyric followed Alex and sat down beside her, "Oh, by the way August, we're going out tomorrow after my parents leave for Washington." Lyric mentioned nonchalantly, "Hand us the controllers."

"Which system?" August asked as he turned on the projector.

"Playstation, idiot." Lyric and Alex grumbled, wondering why he hadn't figured this out yet as they both received a controller and quickly started up a game of Call of Duty Black Ops 3.

"Quick scoping, first to 30 points, kings court style." Alex said calmly before starting up a match on Nuke Town.

After the game had started, there was a suspenseful silence as the girls moved cautiously around the map. "No screen peeking ei- No! God damn it!" Lyric was cut off as Alex got the first kill with a long range quick scope.

"Better luck next time." Alex purred, giving a cocky smirk.

"Kiss my ass." Lyric said in annoyance as she re-spawned.

    "Gladly." Alex snickered.

"Can I get in on this action?" August chuckled, watching their game from behind them.

"Ew, no!" Lyric said in disgust, laughing with Alex.

"August, this is strictly a lesbian love only." Alex joked, making Lyric giggle.

The gaming went on for a few more hours until nobody could beat August, leaving Alex and Lyric no choice but to rage quit. By the end, all three of them were laying on Augusts bed, staring up at the ceiling in silence. These were Lyrics favourite moments, when they weren't doing something magnificent but they still enjoyed it. The simplicity, and craziness, of their friendship left her feeling at home inside.

A few moments passed and someone finally broke the not-so-awkward-silence, "So, what exactly are we gonna go out and do tomorrow?" August wondered aloud.

Lyric shrugged, "Maybe we could find some parties to go to?"

Alex laughed lightly, "You better make sure you brother doesn't find out." She added onto Lyrics suggestion.

Lyric just shook her head slowly, "I wouldn't let him."

    "Parties then?" August asked again.

    "Sure." Lyric and Alex replied.

They fell silent again, laying there with thoughts drifting into the open air. Lyric could see Alex and August in the corners of her eyes and she couldn't help but smile, they were so special to her. So was Zeven, and she missed that crazy black hair and blue eye'd boy. Lyric knew that she wasn't the only one who missed him, they were all excited to reunite.

Tomorrow, Lyric thought to herself, tomorrow...
