Last year I was in orchestra (I played the bass). One of the songs we played was Power Rock. Power Rock is a mixture between We Will Rock You and Another one Bites the Dust.
Don't hate me guys, but a year ago I wasn't into Queen. I barely knew who they were. I found out about Queen at the end of 2014.
Anyways, so we had to do the *stomp stomp clap* (and somebody was singing We Will Rock You) when I heard what we were playing, I got excited. That song sounded like a song I really like, that I had heard a few years ago. When I got home, I looked up Power Rock, and got We Will Rock You by Queen (lyrics) I wasn't sure that was the one, but I picked it. Sure enough, it was the same song I had heard, and loved, years ago. On recommended videos I also saw other songs by Queen. For example, I saw Killer Queen by Queen. Yeah, I stopped looking after We Will Rock You.
Now I'm older but a year, and when I think back to when that happened, I'm just like...come on, I played a Queen Song(somewhat) in the orchestra and I didn't know it! (Well, I technically did cuz I looked it up on the internet and saw it was by a band named Queen) or, I could have listened to more songs. I might have liked them. Either that, or I wouldn't like it because I was meant to love Queen in 2015. Queen has changed me. What's normal for me now, would have been weird a year ago. For example, Radio Ga Ga the song and video would have probably been weird.
I'm glad me mum told me about Queen.
