"I understand that you're mad at him but really, was that so nessaccery that you had to get detention?" Lia questioned as we waited for our English teacher to arrive.

"Okay, okay, I may have stepped over the line but look I couldn't help it okay. He just gets on my nerves!" I screamed, earning myself some 'wtf' glances.

Lia sighed just as another girl joined us. She has her shoulder length brown hair tied up into a ponytail. She was carrying a red, green, yellow and purple checkered bag. I couldn't help but notice how blue her eyes were. It was a stormy, misty blue and matched her happy glow somehow.

"Hey, Shantelle." Lia greeted.

"Hello." she replied with a smile.

"Shantelle, this is Kim. Kim, this is Shantelle." Lia introduced, snapping me out of awkwardness.

"Hi, Shantelle."

"Hey, Kim."

Well... that was awkward.

The door opened, revealing our English teacher. She had a pile of papers in her hand.

As usual, me and Lia sat at the back but this time, it turned out our teacher had decided on that a girl must sit with a boy. Oh and mind you, the tables were set in pairs.

Lia shrugged and sat on the back. She sat on the left side of the table so I sat on the right. I would've preferred to sit next to the window instead which was to my left but I ignored it.

I saw Shantelle sitting in front of me. She turned around and gave me a warm smile and I returned it. Soon, we bursted out laughing from the long moment of staring at each other stupidly.

I heard the chair next to me scrape which shut me up suddenly. I felt a shiver and turned to face Blaze. Why's he sitting next to me?

"Hello, Kim." he greeted smoothly.

"Hello, bastard." I replied and turned around again.

Now, the teacher started lecturing on the piece of writing we each had been given.

"So why do you think Candice didn't like him?" she asked.

I immediately shot me hand which luckily caught the sight of the teacher.

"Kim?"

"She didn't like him," I paused, "excuse my language, but because he was a bastard."

"Oh, and why is that?" she replied with a grin.

A few boys cheered while girls shot me greatful looks.

"Because he was being rude and a complete idiot."

The teacher nodded and picked someone else.

"Was that addressed to me?" Blaze whispered.

"Depends."

"On what?"

"On which side of you you were talking about."

He shot me a quizzical look but I ignored him. Honestly, it was to him but only the bad side.

I felt a wave of longingness... I wanted the old him, not this bitchy asshole boy.

After, we did some writing before the bell ringing; throwing everyone into a happy heap to get out of class. English wasn't that bad, compared to my previous boring teachers but I guess I enjoyed break time better.

I was about to walk out of the room when someone caught my wrist.. or otherwise, I meant Blaze.

I turned around to face him.
