The battle between Deadlock and Bludgeon continues on grimly, neither being able to get the upper hand on the other. But this comes as no surprise to the two combatants. They are both masters of Metallikato, and while their tactics and methods may be different, each balanced out the other flawlessly, with Deadlock's speed and agility matching Bludgeon's brute strength.
Deadlock leaps up and delivers a kick to Bludgeon's head, but the larger bot takes the kick, spinning around and delivering his own kick, this one stronger, to Deadlock's abdomen, sending him flying into the wall.
Groaning, Deadlock slides down the wall, shaking his head to clear his vision just in time to see Bludgeon's fist coming straight at him. Deadlock ducks as the large fist punches a hole in the wall before Bludgeon swings the same arm back to try and strike Deadlock.
Deadlock ducks again and surges forward. He places a foot against Bludgeon's waist and uses it to propel himself up to deliver a powerful knee to Bludgeon's jaw. The assassin stumbles back slightly as Deadlock flips over and lands neatly on his feet.
"Good," Bludgeon says, as his back shifts a little, allowing a dagger handle to reveal itself. "Very good." With that, Bludgeon grabs the dagger and throws it at Deadlock.
Seeing the dagger flying his way, Deadlock tosses his left sword in the air and performs a spinning leap just as the dagger hurdles closer. When it is close enough, Deadlock barely manages to grab it by the tip of the blade, and (using the momentum of his spinning) throw it back hard at Bludgeon.
The assassin barely has time to react as the blade buries itself in his shoulder.
Bludgeon groaned in pain, but then he smiles in amusement. "Impressive." He remarks sincerely, looking up to see Deadlock rushing towards him, wielding both swords again. Pulling the dagger out of his shoulder, Bludgeon throws it again. This time, Deadlock simply falls to his knees, sliding and leaning back as the dagger whizzes over his head with only inches to spare. Once it passed over him, Deadlock gets smoothly back to his feet, quickly swinging his left sword, followed by his right.
Bludgeon easily blocks the two with his arm, and then swings his katana towards Deadlock's left side, the move quickly parried and matched with a swing of Deadlock's right sword to the head, but Bludgeon simply raises his arm again to defend himself.
Deadlock quickly delivers a kick to the side of Bludgeon's knee, causing him to fall on it. Using the chance, Deadlock plants both feet on Bludgeon's chest and sprung himself away to gain some room.
The assassin got to his feet but is met with a spinning whirlwind of blades coming towards him as Deadlock leaps into the air, his blades outstretched like a buzzsaw. Bludgeon feels a momentary surge of panic as he backs away to avoid the attack.
But he isn't fast enough, one of the blades managing to chop off not only Bludgeon's right shoulder guard, but part of his shoulder as well. The metal pieces clatter to the floor as Bludgeon cries out in pain.
Covering the wound, the assassin watched as Deadlock landed and looked up, giving a surprised look at what he had managed. That surprise then gives way to a smirk of satisfaction, one that caused the larger bot to grow furious.
His anger fueling him, Bludgeon lunges forward, raising his katana over his head and swinging it down, only for Deadlock to cross his swords in front of him to block the blow. But Bludgeon, in a swift motion, made a circular movement that caused Deadlock to lose his grip on his right sword and have it fly out of his hand. It may have worked, but the attack also affected Bludgeon, his katana stuck in the wall beside them.
Deadlock's optics widen in panic as the sword skitters toward the edge of the building. With his opponent preoccupied with his own weapon, he dives for it. He landed on the edge, nearly going over himself, and in a desperation he reaches over, barely managing to grab the hilt of his sword before it fell out of reach to the ground below.
