Jackie and I got the deer in and let Carol take it. She got stuff to gut it and skin it. We used as much of it as we could so we didn't attract walkers outside the fence. Rick eyed Jackie up as she walked back with me.

He stopped her, clearly hoping I would keep walking but I didn't. "I don't want you outside these fences with anyone but me. I didn't give you permission to leave!"

"You never go out of the fences." She told him.

"My point exactly."

"You'd rather have me in here with everyone where I can 'kill' whoever I want? That doesn't sound very smart." She snipped and put my hand on her hip. I had to admit, she did kind of have a point there.

He thought for a second. He clearly realized what he said wasn't right. "Who shot that deer?"

"She did." I told him, slightly pointing to Jackie.

He laughed once. "Yeah. Right. She shot it."

I just looked at him. I wasn't happy with him for thinking I was lying. Why would I lie about that? So he would like her more because she really is useful? "I'm serious. She even shot it laying down." I told him.

"Why was she laying down?" Rick snapped. He was edgy. Apparently he thought she had tried to attack me or something. I probably shouldn't have said that. But the only 'attacking' we did was kissing and telling Rick that would not go over well either.

"We were laying on the ground watching for deer. They can't see us as well that way. She shot it with my bow. I even helped her with it." I told him, hoping it was a nice save.

He eyed Jackie up, still not really buying it, especially because I was one of her best friends.

I shook my head at him, knowing he was being ridiculous. Jackie walked past me and headed into the prison. I brushed past Rick and followed her.

"He just doesn't like me, Daryl!" Jackie said and threw her hands in the air. "I don't know why!"

Michonne had overheard and came over. "What happened now?"

Jackie crossed her arms and leaned against the wall. "Rick yelled at me again. All cause I went out to hunt with Daryl. I shot an excellent deer but all he cares abut is everyone's safety. He didn't even say thanks for the meat we have now cause we're running low. He also prefers me being locked up in here with everyone then being outside the fences. He said I can't go outside the fence unless I'm with him. Like that's gonna happen." She snorted slightly. Probably because she thought his reasoning was stupid.

Michonne and I laughed at her a bit.

"You're one tough girl, Jackie." Michonne told her and patted her shoulder. "Don't let him bother you. Everyone else here likes you."

She gave us a smile. "Thanks."

Michonne ended up walking off.

"I'm going to help cut the deer." I told Jackie. She nodded and let me leave. We acted like the kissing didn't happen. She showed no hint that anything had happened between us or even that she had some extra attraction. That was good because I didn't want Rick seeing that right now. For now, it's going to be our little secret.

"You guys need help?" I asked when I found Carol, Glenn, Maggie and Rick cutting the deer.

"With the four of us, I think we are pretty good." Carol told me and smiled. "But it's nice you decided to come help."

"You guys brought home a good one." Glenn told me as he tried to ground some to be hamburg.

I nodded. "Yeah. We haven't had this good of a deer for quite awhile. Lets just hope it tastes as good as it looks."

I helped them pack some up and bring some in for them to cook for the night.
