Sam and his father had been flying for three hours before his father said
"Let's take a break here." And he dove down to the ground. Once they got on the ground Sam shifted back into a human and collapsed in tiredness. But his father on the other hand shifted back into a human and merely sat on a stump nearby.
"Where is this place?"Sam asked his father. But before his father could reply, Riley tried and succeeded to shift into a cardinal. Then shifted back into a human.
"Well congrats to you Riley and Hemereld's Valley is in about three miles the way the crow flies." Their father said as his face lit up with a smile. He used to say that all the time before they thought he died.
"Sam you can ride on Riley, if you need to but I need to fly without any weight on my back." Their father said and shifted into a hummingbird.
Riley looked at Sam and said
"Do you need me to carry you." Riley said in a voice like she was talking to a baby.
"No, I can manage," Sam said back as he stood up but collapsed again " yeah could you carry me?" Sam asked her.
"Sure climb on," she said before shifting into a griffin, that was the only animal that she could think of that was big enough to carry Sam. Both Riley and her father launched into the air.again they had a journey ahead but this time Riley wasn't being carried.
