Finally Found You

Chapter Five

I am looking at Duncan and Layla and just started crying and told them what happen. In instant Layla come to me and hug me tightly and said "It's okay honey. We will go to the police and everything will be fine."

Me: "no way I am not going to police. Then they will make my life hell"

Duncan:" I told you not to live there. Why you are so stubborn. Why you are not staying at my apartment. It's empty. No one is using it."

Me: "no dear. I don't want it. I want to do everything by my own. I don't want to depend on you. I'll find new apartment as soon as possible."

Duncan:"you should otherwise if anything happens again, I'll personally drag you from that place:

Me: "Okay" but somehow I know I can not afford anything else. I have to stay here few more months until I have enough money to rent something better. And I don't want to live at Duncan's place because I didn't feel it right.

Duncan shouts:" Nicole.... where are you? You just zoon out:

Me: "nothing. Just thinking"

Layla: "now stop thinking. We are going somewhere today and you are coming with us Nicole. You need some fun."

I want to say no but as far as I know Layla she didn't take no as an answer so I said "Yes" to her. I will find some reason to say no.

I was 6 in the clock. Day is over. Work is over. Time to go home.

Duncan and Layla come to may desk: "You ready. We are leaving in 5 minutes."

Me: "I have some work to do. You guys go and have fun. I won't be able to come."

Layla: "You are coming with us and that's final. If you have any works finish it in next 10 minutes and then we are leaving. End of argument."

Duncan:"Layla, you bring her with you. I am going."

Layla: "yeah. You go see you there"

I don't have any other choice so I just finish the work I was doing in next 5 minutes and grab my bag and tell Layla that I am ready. She looked at me and said "you need to change into something sexy".

Me: "I am not going to change into anything. I am happy with what I wore. So just take me like this or I am going home."

Layla:" okay...... chill.

After 10 minutes of drive, Layla stop the car in front of pub/disco. I was looking at her in shock and confuse. She knows I hate pub.

Layla: "don't give me that look. You need change in your life. And this is the best place to start with. And don't worry nothing is going to happen here. Not any more."

But still I don't want to go out of car so Layla practically drag me into the pub.

When we enter... it was dark and loud music. I wasn't able to look anywhere so I just look up and Layla was waving her hand to Duncan and someone with him. They did same to Layla and we walk toward them. As we walk we saw that guy to whom Layla was waving her hand. He was looking at me and talking with Duncan.

He was tall very tall. Taller than Duncan.

As we reach to them, Layla leave my hand and hug Duncan and kissed him and than he hug that guy and asked "How are you? It's so good to see you after such a long time. Glad that you are here now. Duncan will have some company now"

And they all three laugh. I was looking to them.

Duncan: "Nicole, This is my friend Collin James Alexander. He is well known architect and my best friend since childhood. And CJ this Nicole... My Designer and also mine and Layla's good friend since collage."

Me: "Hello. Mr. Alexander. it was nice to meet you."

CJ: "Just call me CJ. I prefer it. And it was nice to meet you. And are you okay?"

He points his finger to my head.

Me:"yeah... m fine. Just small accident."

We took our table and order drink. I am not drinking so Layla order fresh juice for me.

They all were talking but I am somewhere else. I don't like to be here in pub. This loud music. I was feeling uncomfortable.

CJ:" are you okay. We are calling you but you were somewhere else. Somewhere in your thought"

Me: "I am sorry."
