Me and Marcus was hanging in the park doing the usual talking back and forth bout our problems.
Me: So Marcus you planing on telling Shaniya how you feel I mean were going into high school this is suppose to be the best 4 years of our lives.
Marcus: I don't know she seems pretty into Raymond. I mean we've been best friends forever and I don't wanna lose her if she doesn't feel the same way.
Me: Marcus your right but do you wanna go your whole 4 years going crazy bout her cause your emotions only gonna run wild. You've been friends forever pretty sure you can tell her anything.
Marcus: I know I can talk to her bout whatever but this is different if I tell her i'm in love with her she may get weirded out. Like all these years i've only listened to her to get with her which I haven't I listen cause I care.
Me: Boy we in the 9th grade your emotions only gonna get worst. If you love her tell her you do. Hold her hands and look her right in the face and tell her what's up. The worst thing she can say is no.
Marcus: YA!!! no is a pretty big word with alot of power. I know my emotions are gonna get worse. Watching her with Raymond eats me inside because I wish it could be me.
Just then Shaniya and Raymond walk up holding hands. Shaniya pulls her hand from Raymond's.
Shaniya: Hey guys what's up
Me: Hey girl nothing much hanging with Marcus.
Raymond: (Rolls his eyes) Well nice to see y'all me and my babe suppose to be on a date she just wanted to pop in and say hey.
Marcus: Hey Shaniya me and my mom are coming over tonight shes helping plan your moms wedding with her or something. Maybe we could hang out or something while they get involved in that clutter ha ha.
Shaniya: Ya we should. I still can't believe my moms is getting married ha i mean it's been 2 years since dad died. I still ain't even over it. Quincy is a good guy though.
Me: Well guys i gotta get going my moms is making Pot Pie and i'm trying to eat it tonight. The younger ones all try to eat it before I get home.
Everyone exchanged their good bye's except Shaniya and Raymond who stay at the park.
