I look up at pony and smile "pony, you wanna go on a date?" "I thought I was supposed to ask you out" he laugh "you were taking to long , so I decided to take charge of the situation" pony leans down and kiss me. I smile because I missed those lips. Darry walks in and I remember how him and Dallas had kept us from dating. "So Darrel curtis can ponyboy curtis and Mariah Winston become a couple" I ask Darry look over to us and shrug his shoulders and says "up to you two" I stare at him in disbelieve "really but last time you said no" he just shrug in reply. Two-bit offers us a ride to the drive ins but I said "nah its okay, I think it would be safer walking" "ok but be careful the socs been out more, give me a call when its over so I can pick you two up" Darry says. Pony and I then left we hold hands all the way there. We take our sits and after a while a red head sits in front of us I don't think anything about it until she talks to pony. I feel forgotten and then I'm angry because this guy doesn't learn does he. He so lucky he's so cute and that I love him to death or I would kick his ass. And I walk the rest of the way to the snack bar and I wished I had pony by my side because the placed is filled with socs and I become scared to death. My plams become sweat like they do when I'm nervous. A guy soc comes over to me I try to act tuff but it doesn't work. He would of done worst if Two-bit didn't come and the owner told that soc to leave or he'll call the cops. "Come on I'll walk you back to pony, maybe now he can be a better boyfriend" Two-bit says as we walk to pony. "Thanks Two-bit" I say and sit down before he leaves he remind us "remember to call one of us to pick you guys up" "ok thanks' I say as he leaves. Pony finally pays attention to me "what happened? Are you alright?" "Good enough" I say and go back to watching the movie. Pony grabs my hand I look down at his and my hand. And up to him he kiss me on my cheek. And says "love you baby" I shivered not because I was cold even though I was but because the word baby at the moment reminded me of that soc. He puts his arm around me and rubs my shoulder as if to try to warm me up, I think he thinks I'm cold. I put my head on his shoulder and he goes back to talking to cherry I no longer feel jealous but its a different kind of feeling but one feeling was happy because I know pony is mine.
