Fish swim downstream as easily
As butterflies fly between the concaves of my ribs
When I look at you
And like a roaring thunder
A chuckle emerges from the pit of his stomach
A warm hearty sound
That always manages to bring a smile to my face
And remind me that home isn't just a place
Love is no longer just a word
It's a verb
Shared by me and you
And I swear God created your hands just for me
Every wrinkle and crease fits with mine like a masterpiece
And when they're together it's the endless victory of me and you
And I want to be next to you when we're in rocking chairs
When we're at dive bars to see concerts
When we're sitting in front of a fireplace
Every second with you
Seems like a mini miracle given to me
And being around you
It's made me believe in God twice as much
Because I've never known something so beautiful
And while you're away
I get a good morning and a goodnight
Talking to you is like clockwork
So accurate to the second
As natural as migration patterns
Birds fly south
To the sound of us
And reemerge as we become warmer with the spring air
And my love for you will never again contain a question mark
