Chapter Four (We Stitch These Wounds – Black Veil Brides)
July 21st
It had been a full two weeks since the fight me and Heath had the first night here. I hadn't said a single word to anyone, and Heath would always come up with some excuse for me behind my back. Thankfully he did, but I didn't understand why he would. Almost every night I would wake up from the same old nightmares. This time Heath wouldn't say a word. He would stay at our window looking at me every once in a while, making sure that I was still there, or seeing if I had stopped crying yet.
“Evelyn? Would you please wake Heath? He's been out for a while.” Beth asked me, which was the women, and the man was, Jacob. I nod once and run up to our rooms.
I shake him once, not wanting to talk to him. His eyes flung open and looked at my figure in confusion. His mouth opened to say something, and then he shut it again. At a loss for words, is what I wanted to say, but I held my tongue.
“Am I dreaming?” he says as he stretched.
“Beth asked me to wake you.” I mumbled as low as I possibly could with him being able to hear.
“Oh, so she speaks! I was starting to think that you forgot how.” he says getting up. I rolled my eyes, and tried to keep my mouth shut. I glance at the floor, and picked up a shirt, and chucked it at him. He needed to put one on.
“Tempted?” he teased me. Sighing, I left the room.
For breakfast we all had to sit together. I sat beside Heath on the right side of the table, Kate and Ben sat across from us, and then Beth and Jacob sat on the two ends. Breakfast usually contained Kate and Ben play fighting, Beth and Jacob trying to get me to talk, and Heath trying to get them to leave me alone with little small hints, that let me just say, never work. Today, wasn't going to go anything near that.
“Eve smiled at me!” Kate exclaimed cheerfully. She was bouncing up and down in her seat, I swear. It was just a smile. Gosh.
“Evelyn.” I corrected quietly.
“Oh did she now? Well that's great.” Beth said to her, smiling as well. She thought that was a sign of improvement? Well lady think again.
Afterwords Beth and Jacob said that we were taking a little trip for a couple of days, and for us to get ready, and pack a bag. So we all were heading up to our rooms. Kate and Ben had already ran up the stairs as while me and Heath walked. I stopped dead in my tracks, and gasped.
“Benjamin!” I scream as I felt the tears coming down already.
“Hey, hey! What's wrong?!” I felt Heath bump into me. “Oh shit.” I heard him barely mutter as he rubbed my shoulder. Ben came jumping into the hallway, looking scared.
“Look what you did!” I shouted at him, pointing to the small little tiger that now had a couple of holes in him. He looked up at me with tears in his eyes.
