Morning - Living Room
The house was peaceful for once. Morning light poured in through the windows. Jisung and Bangchan were stretching on the floor after a workout, Seungmin flipping through his phone while sipping coffee, and Minho casually doing dishes. The usual morning chaos hadn't kicked in yet.
Then the door to the bathroom opened.
And Rafayel walked out.
The room went quiet.
Gone was the golden retriever fluff. In its place was soft, tousled dark brown hair, slightly damp, perfectly contrasting his sharp jawline and piercing green eyes that now looked ten times more intense. The darker tone made his features pop-his cheekbones looked sharper, his eyes deeper. Even the way he casually ran his hand through his new hair screamed effortless cool.
Everyone paused mid-bite, mid-sentence, mid-stretch.
"Holy sh-" Jeongin mumbled.
"You look like the second male lead who gets all the sad music and edits," Felix said in awe.
Even Minho blinked slowly before muttering, "That's... a dangerous upgrade."
Rafayel smirked. "What? Too pretty to punch now?"
Then came the sound of hurried footsteps from the stairs-Jiwon, messy hair, oversized hoodie, socks sliding across the floor as he came around the corner with a yawn and-
He froze.
Jiwon stood halfway down the stairs, holding the railing, eyes wide like he just saw a ghost-or worse.
His mouth parted slightly.
"...Wha..." he stuttered, then shook his head like a glitching computer. "You... changed it."
Rafayel turned to him, slow and dramatic, like he knew exactly what he was doing.
"Dark brown," he said. "Like someone suggested."
Jiwon blinked again. And again.
And then immediately looked away, heading straight to the kitchen.
Rafayel followed, amused. "You okay?"
"I'm fine," Jiwon said, voice too high, too fast.
"You're not looking at me."
"Why would I look at you?"
"I don't know," Rafayel said innocently, leaning a hip against the counter. "Maybe because I'm suddenly a 'hot villain in a K-drama.' Your words, not mine."
Jiwon groaned and lightly smacked his forehead against the fridge.
"Take it back," he muttered.
"Nope," Rafayel grinned. "I've never seen you this quiet. Is that blush?"
"I will throw eggs at you."
"You're welcome to. But just know, flustered Jiwon is my new favorite version."
At that, Jiwon finally turned and smacked him right in the chest, but his face was red-burning red.
"Shut up!" he shouted, grabbing a banana and storming out of the kitchen with the speed of a cat avoiding eye contact.
From the living room, Hyunjin whispered loudly, "Did Jiwon just sprint away blushing?"
"Yup," Seungmin nodded. "Rafayel broke him."
Rafayel just leaned back against the counter, a soft grin tugging at his lips.
He liked this version of them. Less blood. More banter. And maybe, just maybe... something softer blooming between.
