-Dani's POV-
I was stunned at the man who stood before me. Randy Orton. The Randy Orton. The one I've had a crush on since I was 12, and I still kinda do. Randy was looking through his black duffle bag for something when I walked in and he looked up at me. It was kinda dark in the room, but I knew those ice blue eyes anywhere. He seemed lost for words just like me. He walked away back at the airport just a couple of days ago, but I wasn't expecting him. I'd think he'd be long gone by now since the show's later today in Montana, and we're in Texas.
Randy stood up and cleared his throat, all without his taking his eyes off mine, "Hey, Dani." He said in the voice I grew up with and knew for years.
I was really stunned, my tounge was numb, almost not there. I gave a weak wave and a fragile voice, "Hi." I never said 'Hi'. I'd always say 'Hey'. When did I start saying 'Hi'?
He cleared his voice again, "Here to get your stuff?" He pointed to my small bag on the ground next to the bed I slept in when I was here.
I nodded and again my voice was unsteady, "Yeah," I could only get out one word answers. I walked over to the bag and picked it up and over my shoulder. Randy still stood there just watching me. I was also thinking for something to say, even though my brian started to shut down for no reason.
"Um," Randy scratched the back of his neck, "Did, um," It was like he was hesitating to ask me something, but I think I had a good idea of what it was, "Did, um, John tell you about, uh, Victory?"
I nodded my head and put on a smile to let him know I was fine, "I heard the news."
An emotion I never saw much poured into his eyes, "Are you, um," He was having a hard time talking without stopping the middle of a sentence, "Are you alright?"
"I'm fine, Randy." I kept the smile just to put his mind at ease.
"Cool." The first sentence he put together without stopping. He was about to get back to looking for something through his bag, but stopped and put me on the spot, "Since Victory's out, you should go for the Divas' Championship."
My jaw dropped, "Me? Go out for the Championship?" I debuted the WWE only a week ago, and I won on a DQ 2 minutes into the match. That doesn't show much talent.
"Yeah, when you showed me those moves before your match, you knew a lot more than I did when I first started out." He continued to scavage through his bag for whate ever he was looking for.
I was fearful of becoming another Victory story, I didn't want to start out as a Heel. I wanted to be liked by my fans no matter what anybody said. Maybe I should ask Randy for help, just so I can get the right information. Kane disappeared somewhere and no one knew, well, maybe Mr.McMahon, but he was in the hospital because of recent events, "Randy?" I said in an innocent voice. He looked for his bag and gave him his full attention, "Can you teach me along the way? I don't want to turn out as Victory."
"Um," He stood up again and scratched his head again, "I really would, but..." He kinda trailed off, like he didn't want to finish his sentence, but I was making him with the look I gave him, "Um, I really need to focus on getting the World Heavy Weight Championship. And right now, I can't deal with a distracton."
"Oh," I was really disappointed. I had to say, hanging out with Randy was a blast and just to hear I was a distraction to him, kinda hurt me. My eyes fell to the ground and I began to back out of the room.
"Look," Randy came closer to me and raised my chin up so I would look him in the eyes, "It's not you. It's just these recent events are throwing me off my game and I need something to focus on. Just to get my mind off things," Randy dropped his hand back down to his side, "I mean, things have been pretty dramatic. For everybody involved." I nodded in agreement, "But don't worry," He tapped my shoulder lightly in a playful matter. A smile broke out on his lips, "I'll be around. Don't be afraid to come find me." He went back down to his bag search.
