Chapter 21 - Love or Betrayal

Alysons POV:

I was walking downstairs and making breakfast and I saw Masie's face the whole day and since the wedding shes been looking dazed and sad as if something really deep was on her mind.

"Masie?" I said and she blinked twice and looked at me she looked she was in some kind of a trance.

"Are you okay? Masie" I asked

And she just smiled "Yeah I'm fine she said.

It was almost like she was holding back tears and just got up and went to her room.

Something was defiantly up with Masie. I just didnt know what I wish there was a way I could help Masie she'd always been there for me maybe now it was my time to be there for her.

"Melanie do you know whats up with Masie?" I asked.

And Melanie just smiled

"Oh she's fine darling that one's always up and down I think she caught a cold on your engagement, but dont worry she'll be fine before the wedding" Mel said

And she smiled at me.

I smiled back and nodded.

I couldnt help but wonder that was something more up with Masie.

I got ready for bed and went to my room.

Just before I was about to go to bed I heard a noise outside it was Masie she was sneaking outside in the middle of the night were was she going at this time of night into the woods.

I thought to myself it wasnt safe for her to go out into the woods by herself.

So I followed her, especially with the enemy pack on the loose I hope she was okay.

Masie just kept running further and further into the woods I followed her all the way.

What was she up too at this time of night.

And then she stopped and I was about to approach her.

When I was a tall figure approach I was stunned and shocked it Hunter Drax.

Masie was meeting with Hunter Drax.

I couldnt believe it Masie had betrayed us.

I trusted her and she betrayed us.

She hugged him so tight. And said "Hunter"

She said his name and hugged her back the way they were together he was very gentle with not all how Chace and his father described they all said he was insane and wanted to kill Chace and his father. So I didnt know what to think had he somehow lured Masie in with his charms he was evil I had to get Masie away from him she wasnt safe with him.

As she was hugging him, she saw me and I clenched my mouth tight so no one would hear my gasp.

And she saw me and whispered the words no while she was hugging Hunter.

I couldnt believe it Masie was conspiring with the enemy I turned around and just ran and ran.

I knew what Hunter was capable of he tried to murder Chace and his father and he wanted to kill my Chace.

There was no way Masie was safe with him I just couldnt believe it why would Masie go with Hunter of all guys I felt sick and then I realised Hunter was Masie's mate I remember how sad she looked at my engagement party maybe she's finally found her mate.

I was happy for her that she found her mate but worried a maniac like Hunter was her mate.

What has the world come too.

I just ran and ran and then I bumped into Chace.

"Woah, there girly slow down" he said smiling at me.

But then his smile faded as he saw my panick.

I was gasping for air I couldnt breathe why would Masie be with Hunter of all guys I couldnt believe it.

And I couldnt hold it in I had to tell Chace for her safety what if he did something to her and I never said anything.

I couldnt let that happen.

I began breathing normally again and said

"Chace, its Masie I saw her outside on enemy terriotory she was with Hunter, they were together hugging Masie has betrayed us" I said in tears.

I was in absolute shock why would she be with Hunter after everything he's done to me and my family to this pack how could she.

Chace face dropped and went cold.

"What! Masie is with Hunter? Is she insane shes not safe with him does she have any idea what he's capable of he tried to kill father and I he's been banished from this pack were did she you see him" Chace said

Oh no maybe I shouldnt have told him.

But its too late now I already said.

"I saw him right outside the Midnight Moon Pack Masie was with him I think she maybe mated to him, please Chace she's vulnerable dont get her in any trouble this was all Hunter" I said

And Chace sighed.

"I have to call all pack members of the Midnight Moon Pack theres been a sighting of the enemy pack on our boarders I want all patrols and pack members outside to search for him we have to end this once and for all Hunter is not getting away that easily he has to be stopped!" Chace demanded.

"Chace, wait maybe Masie can persuade him to not attack the Pack maybe we will all be safe and the pack can be rejoined because of Masie she is his mate after all, maybe we can work this out?" I said.

"Are you out of your mind this is Hunter Drax were talking about he doesnt work things out he's insane and wont stop at nothing until he gets what he wants we have to call all pack members and stop him at once this is War!"

Chace said.

And I just stared oh no things have gotten much worse I should have stayed quite like Masie said why did I go and tell Chace.

I was really worried know.
