It started out as a normal walk.
As I walked past tombstone, I realized I was walking through a cemetery. My heart started to speed up. I've grown to dislike cemeteries.
Then I heard footsteps behind me. Instead of looking who it was, I sped up my pace. The person also sped up. Then I started running.
I ran past two trees. One tree was on my right. The other was on my left. They looked like as if they were some kind of gate. Then there was a tunnel. I didn't think twice, I went through it.
The tunnel was long and dark. Then I saw a light: the exit. That's when I saw what looked like shadows fly past me. Then I noticed they were floating. The footsteps behind me stopped.
I came out of the tunnel, but I kept running. I stopped only when I thought I was be safe. Anyway, I wouldn't have been able to continue. My lungs were burning and my legs throbbed.
I started to walk down the path. Observing my surroundings. It looked like I had stepped into a different world.
There were people everywhere. No not people. They couldn't be people. They looked exactly like people, though. I wouldn't have payed them any attention. It was the fact that they were floating and had some sort of glowing aura around them that attracted my attention. They were also a different color than humans. Some were greenish and others were purplish. There were also people who looked like humans. But they didn't have a shadow.
I started to freak out. I didn't belong here. I was in some different world. Something out of the corner of my left eye caught my attention. I turned around and saw a human.
I started to follow him. He looked human. He was the color of normal skin. He had on a pair of dirty jeans and a black t-shirt. He had long dark hair and big grey eyes.
I started to walk towards him. Then he ran. He stopped when he reached a lonely tree. I realized he had fled to somewhere isolated. He still hadn't seen me, though. I opened my mouth to say something but then something happened.
He dropped to all fours. Then he started to shrink. I stared in awe and disgust. He lost his jeans and shoes. His black shirt stretched down to his thighs then all the way to his feet. The shirt started to wrap around his body. His face turned black to match his shirt. Then the fabric of the shirt turned fuzzy and fluffy.
It was only when he started walking that I realized he had turned into a black cat.

"Jade...Jade!"
I sat up to see Susan in the doorway.
"Wake up and get ready for school," she says.
I groan. "Can I skip?" I rub my eyes.
"Of course not! I can't leave you at home alone."
I look at her with a puzzled look. "Where are you going?" I ask.
"I have a job interview," she says casually.
"Already? Well good luck," I say cheerfully.
"That luck is going to do me no good if I arrive late. Now hurry up and get ready or I'll have to drag you and drop you off in your pajamas."
I smile but get up. "Alright I'm going. Now get out and close the door."
"I'll make breakfast." And with that she walks out.
I walk out after her and walk into the bathroom to take a shower. After taking a nice cold shower I walk back into my room to get changed.
I open the top drawer of my dresser and take out the first shirt I thought would make a great impression. A grey shirt that stopped at my elbows. It wasn't a tight shirt but it also wasn't extremely loose. Then I open another drawer and take out a pair of Capri pants.
