"I will sell some of my properties then transfer the remaining to my nephews and nieces" kibit-balikat na sagot ni Vic sa kaniyang kaibigan na si Carlos.

"Are you sure about this? Are the rumors really true?" tanong ni Carlos habang umiinom ng kape.

"Which one?" natawang sagot ni Vic.

"Are you gonna get married?"

"Yes"

"Medyo naguguluhan ako" mahinahong sabi ni Carlo. "Bakit?"

"We felt like settling down na" ngiti nito sa kaniyang kaibigan.

"How about..... Mau?" mahing tanong ni Carlo. Nasa isang coffee shop sila ngayon sa Makati. Kahit na mangilan-ngilan lang ang tao rito ay nag-iingat padin sila sa kung anong pwedeng marinig ng mga nasa paligid.

Vic stared at him. "What about her?"

"Have you moved on?"

"I did" mabilis na sagot ni Vic. "I'm getting married. Let's focus on that"

Tanging buntong-hininga lang ang nasagot ni Carlo. "I support you. But I hope you are really sure about it before you commit..."

They spent the day catching up. May mga kasalukuyang proyekto ngayon si Carlo na ikinatuwa ni Vic para sa kaniyang kaibigan.

Maya-maya din ay nag-paalam na si Vic at sinenyasan ang driver/bodyguard nito.

"How was it?" salubong ni Pola sakaniya.

"It was fine.. he's doing great as usual"

"That's good to hear then.. Are you okay?"

"Of course I am.." ngiti ni Vic at sunod itong niyakap.

It has been nearing 3 years since all of the chaos happened in Vic's life- when she felt like she died inside. 

Nang matapos lahat ng kontrata at obligasyon niya sa Dear Mama ay napag-desisyunan nila ni Pola na bumalik sa America. Tinulungan siya bumangon ni Pola emotionally. 

She started being in contact with her former colleagues in LA when they heard the news that she's back. May mga binigay sakaniyang guestings at cameos sa ibang mga shows sa america lalo na't she's known internationally with her talent. 

With all of these things are happening in her career, mas naging malalim ulit ang relasyon nila ni Pola. Vic realized that she loved her then, so its not impossible to love her again. 

Victoria decided to forget everything that happened 4 years ago in the Philippines. Tinigilan nadin siya ni Senator Greg lalo na't noong nalaman ng senador na anak nito si Maureen. The last thing she heard was that he was trying to get in contact with the young actress, as she was the only living offspring of the man. At bago umalis ng bansa si Vic ay nalaman din niya na nilalapitan din ni Eliza si Maureen upang makipagkilala rito. 

She decided to leave social media and block out all news in relation to Maureen when she flew out of the country. 

Simula noon ay nanirahan na sila ng payapa at maayos ni Pola sa America.

"Have you taken your meds?" Tanong ni Vic at sunod silang umupo sa sofa. 

"Yes I did.. I'm so excited for the party tonight" Pola said with a smile. 

"I am too" Vic hugged her while watching some romantic-comedy film in the living room. 

It was a year ago when Vic accidentally found out about Pola's illness. Muntik pa silang mag-hiwalay noon dahil sa galit nito sa pagtatago ni Pola. Apparently, she was already terminally ill when she want back to the Philippines years ago. At totoo ang dahilan niya na kaya siya bumalik ay dahil nabalitaan ni Pola ang nangyari kay Vic noon. She has been very protective of her kahit noong bata pa sila. 

Pola had been vocal about her feelings for Vic for years, but Vic couldn't commit to her then, and it feels unfair that when she finally felt ready to commit, she found out about Pola's illness.

And just this year, they decided to get married. 

Tonight, It will be their engagement party together with their local friends here in the Philippines. All of Vic's previous colleagues in the industry are invited.. even Tina Co. They have been civil with one other when she started Dear Mama and stayed friends since. 

Both of Vic and Pola's immediate families are in the United States so they thought that it would be wise to sell some of their properties here since they will live in the states for good. 

The night arrived, and both women looked stunning in their white dresses. It was a private soirée, and everyone mingled happily with one another.

"Congratulations, Pola and Vic" bati ni Carlos nang dumating ito sa party. 

"Congratulations" bati din ni Tina na kasama ni Direk Carlos. 

Tinanggap ng dalawa ang regalo mula sa kanilang mga kaibigan. Pola is very aware of Vic's past with Tina but they also became friends naman din the past years. 

All of Vic's co-stars in Dear Mama were invited, except from the two people that wrecked her life years ago. 

No one mentioned Maureen or Liam since it was an open secret that the rumors back then were true. It was also an open secret that Maureen was the main reason why Vic left the country. 

Vic is very blessed to have Pola in her life, despite all the wrong decisions she made when she was young. Pola accepted her after finding out the truth—that Vic had been a mistress to Sen. Greg more than a decade ago. Vic was very young back then, and Greg was a familiar figure growing up. Their families had close ties in business and politics.

She was not related by blood to the Yuzon-Razon family, but she grew up around them. They treated each other like family, and she was foolish enough to fall in love with Greg.

But it was all in the past now, and Pola made Vic realize that she is not defined by her mistakes. Victoria realized that she is so selfless when she falls in love that she had been dragged down by two people from her past because of it. She learned from them, and that was enough.
