I went to Liam's house after the whole thing to tell him. He seemed to be relived. Mason came buy to play video games with him. I was sitting on the bed while they were sitting on the floor near the TV.

"When did you get so good? Have you been practicing? Or did you get super powers all of a sudden?" I see Liam looking at me through the corner of his eyes.

"Um. Practicing. Yeah, I've been practicing." He stutters. He looks down at the ground.

"And I should be studying." Mason says standing up.

"Where are you going?" Liam asks him.

"Home. I have a history test tomorrow." Shit. I forgot about that. Oh well, I never liked history.

"I think I should get going too." I say standing up.

"Do you want me to give you a ride?" Mason asks. I nod and look at Liam.

"Come on. One more game." Liam protests.

"You said that. Four games ago." He said.

"Study here." Liam offered. "You can stay over." Something was going on. "Come on. One more game."

"You okay?" He asks Liam.

"Yeah." Liam looked down. He was lying. "You're right. You should go. Both of you." He mumbled. "See you tomorrow."

"Mason. I'll meet you outside. I'll be right there." He nods and gets out of his room. I wait until I hear the front door close. I crouch down next to Liam and lift his head up with my hand.

"Liam. Are you okay?" I ask. "What's wrong?"

"Nothing. I'm fine." He mumbles looking down.

"Liam. I'm not stupid. I know when you lie. Tell me what's wrong so I can help. I'm worried" I said rubbing his hand.

"I said I'm fine." He snaps. I step back a bit. "You should go anyways, Mason is waiting for you." I get up and close his door. I tried not to cry. I didn't even know why I should be crying.

"Ready?" Mason asks.

"Yeah."

I went with Scott to drop off Derek's money. Hopefully this goes well.

"Do you wanna know why-"

"It took so long to return?" He finishes for Scott. "How much do you make at the animal clinic?"

"Minimum wage." He says.

"That's why."

"Everyone can be tempted, Scott. Even a true Alpha. " Derek said.

"You're not angry?" I ask.

"It's not even mine. It belongs to Peter." My favorite person.

"Where's your money?" I ask again.

"You're standing on it." Scott look very shocked.

"There's another vault?" He asks surprised. I laugh a bit.

"No" Derek laughed. "I own the building, and I have my own bank accounts. All the money in the vault was Peter's. I think we'd actually be better off if the rest never came back." He explained then closed the bag.

"Hey guys" I said as I walked in the weight room and saw Mason and Liam.

"Hey" Mason said smiling.

"Hi" Liam mumbled without looking at me. They continued to lift weights while I was on my phone.

"That's a lot of weight." Mason says. I look up and see Liam adding weight. Liam took a seat on the bench again and looks at Mason. "I have to get ready for the game tomorrow."
