CHAPTER TWO

Jett's POV

Who does she think she is? That nerd is so getting on my nerves today. I'm willing top pay just to see her face once she stopped by in front of the principal's office. That would be quite a nice view. Wait, me? Paying for a nerd? I'll just imagine her face turning red in anger with steams running of her ears and nose. Bet It'd be better than any blockbuster movie trailer. She was too innocent she can't even tell I'm lying. But it will not be the last time we'll be seeing each other. Well, the school year is just starting and one more thing, we almost have the same classes so we'll be seeing each other more often than I thought. What kind of crap luck is that? Having her face inside my head pisses me off.

Now, where did that freaking ass go? I mean Gab, my best buddy. We've been partners in crime since kindergarten and nothing can ever come between us, not even candies and girls.

"Hey, man!" A familiar voice called. I shifted my gaze and look up to a certain direction only to spot my same ole buddy. "Where have you been? I've been looking everywhere for you." Looking?

"Stop it man. I know you just got here." after all this years he surely can't fool me, “Who’s the chick you’ve been screwing lately?" he grinned widely, scratching the back of his neck.

"Someone. You know, sometimes hate you for knowing me too well." he sighed, shaking his head.

Gab and I, how should I say this, we're the school's star players of our football team. Both of us are also 'players' in another meaning. By players, I mean not only in football. We screw girls one after another. That's who we are but there's nothing wrong with it. We don't push girls towards us, they come after us. No commitments. Besides, we planned from the start that we'll be bachelors for life.

"What can I say? I'm better than Nancy "Fucking" Drew when it comes to investigating people."

"And I'm your partner. Who am I supposed to be? Ned Nickerson? That guy can't even hurt a fly."

"Dude. You're still reading those Nancy Drew books?"

"It's out of curiosity. I help dear granny her clean her book shelves and usually I end up reading some." Gab really loves his grandma. He still keeps his teddy that his grandma gave to him when we were five. He named it Grinch after watching 'How the Grinch stole Christmas'. Actually, his grandma gave him another one which he gave to me but I kept it in my closet. I'm a grown man.

"You are so gay." I mouthed and he glared at me, punching me on the shoulder. It didn't really hurt. So weak. Of course I didn't say that. I may end up being killed.

"Shut up. Let's go proceed to homeroom. We better not be late."

"Is that how you should be talking to your best bud? You should thank me; I waited for you here since the beginning of time." I want to kick his inconsiderate ass right now.

"Okay." He grunted. We talked while we walked. I haven't seen him for a long time but it's only a week since we last seen each other. He's my twin from a different mother. Like the Disney's Twitches; we are the Twitch-ass. Creative, huh? What the hell? I can't believe still remember that movie.

We got there two minutes early and our homeroom teacher is still not there.

"So, what was that you're going say earlier about a girl? What about her?" he asked confusion was laced in his tone.

"It's not really important. Let's forget about her." Right. She's not really important.

About time. Mr. Austin walked inside the room silencing everyone.
