**Camille's POV**

I was pretty psyched when Noah told me to meet him so I made sure I arrived on time. I walked down to the rather deserted area of the beach and as expected, Noah was early, sitting on the sand and staring out to sea. The sand was pearly white and relaxingly soft.

He seemed to be in a daydream so I quietly sat next to him and waited for him to notice.

Five minutes passed.

I was getting tired of sitting in silence so I shook him out of his daze.

"Yes?" He looked at me as if he knew I was there the whole time.

"Took you long enough...did you really not notice me here?" I enquired.

"I did. Why? Would it disappoint you if I didn't notice you?" He turned to face me and smirked.

"Well I just don't like sitting in silence." I glared at him and said matter-of-factly.

"Camille...dont get me wrong but ever heard that sometimes, silence is bliss?" He grinned while saying that.

Obviously noticing my confusion, he continued on.

"You see, you tend to notice details more when you're not preoccupied doing something. For example, what's that man doing?" He guided my eyes to a man in a boat at sea.

"Fishing?" I was staring at the nets he had and he looked frustrated as he couldn't catch anything.

"Yep. But what do you notice there?" Now, he made me look to the end of the beach which had a sign that was handwritten.

'Dont bother fishing, its useless. You can't catch anything.'

"Oh..." I started to realise what Noah meant.

"You see if he was observant enough, he would be able to see the sign - its not that hard to read. But he's too caught up trying to catch the fishes to even look at his surroundings. And I guess silence helps me compose myself and be more observant." Why did he suddenly sound so wise? It made me melt on the inside. I silently reprimanded myself. I literally just met the guy a day ago and I'm already falling for him?

He then told me to sit in silence again for another five minutes. I wasn't exactly thrilled but I gave in. It was a great opportunity to think about him anyway.

So why did he call me out? Was it just to hang? But he said he wanted to ask me something important. Should I remind him? Probably not. If it was as important as he said it was, he would remember to ask me. I couldn't help but take sneak peeks at him out the corner of my eye. Sigh...I wonder if he knows that I like him. Is it absurd that I do? Does he like me back? I really hope he does. But what would happen then? Would we date? What would Emily say? She would probably kill me.

Questions were popping into my head continuously. Questions about him, about us, about my feelings.

"Earth to Camille, its been more than five minutes, are you done?" My thoughts were abruptly interrupted by Noah's voice.

"Huh? Oh. Sorry." I smiled sheepishly as Noah smirked.

"So what were you thinking about huh?" His smirk seemed like it was never coming off.

"Nothing much..." I replied, embarrassed.

"Nothing much? Because I swear you were spacing out a lot there." Seriously, his smirk was starting to annoy me.

I looked away the moment I felt redness creeping onto my cheeks. He finally stopped pestering me after that.

"The weather's rather warm today, don't you agree?" His smirk turned into an aloof smile. That look. He seemed like he was up to something.

"You're right. But its nothing a cold drink can't handle." I chose my words carefully and reached into my bag for a bottle of cold water.

"But I have a way to get rid of the heat without a drink." He stopped my hand and grinned at me.

"Yeah? And what's that?" I regretted it the moment those words came out of my mouth.

He immediately scooped me up and started running to the water. I shrieked. "Are you serious? No! Put me down!"

"Come on! Loosen up!" With that, he plunged into the water.

I was greeted by the icy cold water which sent shivers up my spine. Noah had released me when we touched the surface of the water and my feet were now tangled up with seaweed.

I was about to stand up when I felt his hands on my waist, pulling me out. My face was flushed. He looked at me and let out a laugh as I whacked his arm. "Well now I'm soaking wet with no change of clothes. Thanks."

"You are very much welcome. I will help you anytime you need to escape the heat." He bowed at me and pretended to dip his 'hat'.

"I appreciate your kindness, but I don't think that that would be necessary, thank you very much." I decided to play along, being as polite as I could.

"What's the matter? It's not any trouble, really. In fact, I would love to do you that favour a few more times." He gave a wide smile and I automatically ran away, for fear that he would throw me in again. Well I tried to run away. He had fast reflexes and immediately grabbed me back again. But this time, he pulled me towards him and stared out to the vast sea. The water was crystal clear and it glistened in the sunlight. The beautiful golden rays reflected off the surface of the water and the sky was painted a magnificent blue. At that moment, everything seemed to be perfect. Except one thing that was tugging at my mind - what was the important question? We sat down at the edge of the water and stayed that way for a while. I gently rested my head on his shoulder and felt his arm wrap around mine. It made me feel safe and secure. I was calm, hearing the waves crashing onto the sand, when I started to shiver. "Are you catching a cold? Hold on." His face was filled with concern as he quickly left to fish something out of his bag. "Here." I felt him put a jacket around me. I smiled contently as I cuddled into the warm and cozy oversized jacket. "Hey...can I ask you something?" He instantly turned serious, but had a look of uncertainty. This was it. The important question. I nodded to him and waited. "Excuse me, may I know where's the bathroom?" We turned to see a teenage girl about our age speaking to us. Ugh. Why now? "Oh hey! Noah! Remember me? How are you? And you are Camella or something? I think I saw you in school before!" They knew each other? "Um hi Tricia. This is Camille. And the restroom's that way." He quickly pointed the way and we both hoped that she would leave. She thanked the both of us and ran off. "You know her?"

"Yeah...I don't talk to her anymore though." Those words made me smile, but I didn't show it. "So...you were saying?" I quietly hoped that the moment was still here. "Nevermind, I'll save that for later. You hungry?" He got up to get sandwiches and drinks from his bag. I waited so long but that girl ruined it. Sigh...I guess I have to wait. I was pretty annoyed but I tried to brush it off and have fun. "My specialty. Try it and you can compliment me on how great it tastes." Noah walked back with two turkey bacon and cheese sandwiches which looked like they were grilled to perfection. I took a small bite and the cheese and bacon caused a tasty explosion in my mouth. They were grilled to perfection. "Wow," was all I could say. "Good eh? It better be. I put in so much effort to grill this perfectly for only you. And me of course." He gave me a tiny smirk. "Wow you were doing so well, but then you ruined it." I teased him a little before he replied. "I was doing well? Don't you think I was a bit cheesy?" He was so lame! "Hahahaha. Very punny." I kept a poker face while saying that and he countered with an "I know, thanks!" We were talking and laughing when my phone suddenly beeped.

Hey! I'm extremely bored. Can we go out? PLEASE :))))) Btw, you promised that you would go out with me whenever I was bored so you can't say no >:) -emmm

"I think I have to go soon...I kinda promised Em that I would go out with her."

"Oh? Okay." He sounded disappointed.

As much as I didn't want to leave, I couldn't break my promise to my best friend. I stood up, about to walk back to my bag when he got up and stopped me. "I really need to ask you this. I know we just met yesterday and this is probably the craziest thing I've done but I don't know what you do to me." He took in a deep breath. "Camille, will you be my girlfriend?"
