*Jessie's P.O.V*
I woke up to the sound of my blaring alarm clock. Still half asleep, I scanned my phone for texts to find here was one from an unknown number. I immediately realized who the sender was seeing the way it was written- it was Ed, hoping we would meet again soon. "What are you grinning at?" Holly mumbled and moaned from the other side of the room where she had been sleeping. "Nothing.." I lied, and hadn't even been aware I had been smiling so hard. Holly was too hungover to argue with me, so she left it at that. "Hello!" I replied. "No I haven't got this number until now, thanks for being so supportive yesterday- glad you enjoyed it. I have really missed seeing you too. How does brunch sound? Nandos maybe? My shout. Love Jess xx". I felt regretting saying that as soon as I pressed the sent button. Today? Really Jess? How desperate must I sound.. I only saw Ed last night and he was probably only being polite asking to meet up again.
I was really happy to receive a text from him a few minutes later. "Yes that would be epic! How does 12 sound? The Nando's just down the street from where you are. I will meet you there. Ed xx". 12? I thought? 12? It was half ten now.. I replied agreeing to go, and quickly rushed to get ready. I had no idea what to wear, we were only going to Nando's but this seemed like a really big deal for me, it would be time spent with Ed just on our own. I turned round to tell Holly my plans to discover she had gone back to sleep. I decided to wear my cat t-shirt from Topshop with my black skinny jeans from Prada, hoping that wasn't too overdressed. I was mad at myself for being so stressed over just going to Nando's, but I was desperate to have the best time possible.
An hour later, I was ready. Hair curled into ringlets, no extensions and just natural make up. I left Holly a note, to explain where I was going and headed out my hotel. As I was heading out the reception, one of the staff members warned me about the people waiting out the front. My fans never fail to amaze me- there was a small gathering of them that had been waiting 3 hours. I couldn't leave them hanging, so happily took pictures and chatted with them for a couple of minutes. "I'm really sorry but I have to go now!" I told them, stepping into the taxi that was waiting for me.
"J-dawg!" was the first thing I heard getting out the taxi. "Oh hey Ed, " I giggled. He had adopted that nickname for me a while back. "You look great," he smiled, as I walked up to where he was standing. I gave him a long, affectionate hug, and couldn't help notice how great he smelled. It was a chocolately, musky aroma that was very familar. " Aww thank you, you don't look too bad yourself!" I replied, blushing at his compliment. Ed was wearing his usual red Ralph Lauren Hoodie and jeans, but it was very much 'him', so he always looked good. "I hope you aren't teasing me," Ed flirted and I explained how I was very fond of his hoodies. He laughed, and ushered me into the door of Nando's.

My phone vibrated on the bedside cabinet. Usually I would be too lazy to reach for it, until I remembered who the text might be off- I wasn't disappointed. Jessie wanted to meet up! Today! I was quite surprised at how keen she was, I had not been expecting her to respond so soon. I sent her a text back to agree on a time, and began to think how sweet she was insisting on paying. I did have a Nando's black card after all, but failed to tell her this in the text as I knew she would just reinsist on footing the bill.
It doesn't usually take me long to get ready, which shows, but I needed to have a shower. After my shower I have to 'marinate'. This basically means sitting in two towels for ten minutes in your own little world before getting dressed. After my marination, I ran my fingers through my messy hair and put on the usual V05 wax, got dressed- consisting of throwing on my usual hoodie and jeans- and spritzed a bit of aftershave. Done.
I had already phoned a taxi so I rushed out side to the one waiting for me. There were a couple of people who recognized me as I got into the car, so I gave them a cheery wave as we drove away. There was an awkward silence with the driver of the car for the ten minute journey, so I sat scrolling through my phone. What seemed like a lifetime later, the taxi pulled up outside Nando's. I handed the driver some money, and stood waiting for Jessie. I was around 10 minutes early, and each second of waiting made me even hungrier than I initally was.
Jess had also got a taxi here, and I shouted on her as she arrived. I couldn't help but notice how much effort she had gone to, and it was evident she felt overdressed. Nevertheless, she looked so pretty. I definitely preferred her with less make up, as I did with anyone, and her hair looked really good too. Reassuring her on her outfit, we hugged and she complimented me back as I stifled a laugh, knowing I always looked the same. Our embrace was longer than a friendly hug, and I could definitely feel our hearts beating faster than usual. I could sense there was something between us. I couldn't wait to spend more time with Jessie.
