Chapter-5 Time to fly!

"Where did you get all this stuff?", I asked, astonished as I examined the pile of cogs, nuts, bolts and other miscellaneous objects that Erik had dropped in front of me
"The junkyard", he casually replied
"Hmmm... I could use these to make a blender, shotgun or..."
"What?"
"Get me to the junkyard"
"Ah, ok..."

Dong! Dong! Crash!
"What are you building?", Erik asked
"I need fuel...", I replied, avoiding the question
"Yeah, I'll just steal some from a car...", he said sarcastically
"Great!"
"Yeesh! I was kidding!",I wasn't listening, I was busy hammering
"Goodbye...",I said shooing him away
"Humph" he exclaimed as he walked off
"Hiyyyyaaaaa!" Screamed a voice from above
"Huh?" I exclaimed, surprised
"Take that!" Suddenly I felt a pounding pain in my cheek and fell over, knocked out

"Tim?", Erik had returned with 2 tanks of fuel, "Where are you? Are we ready to go?"
"Uhh...", I mumbled, from behind a pile of tyres
"Tim! What happened?!"
"I happened!", came a voice from the rooftops,"Now hand over your money, or end up like him!"
"I...I don't have any money..."
"Don't lie to me!" The girl shouted,"and why do you have fuel?"
"Well, you see, he's from the fu..."
"Erik!", I shouted
"Let him speak!", the girl said sternly,"Continue..."
"As I was saying, he is from the future and has come to stop World War III from happening, so..."
"Do you think I was born yesterday?", the girl asked
"Should I answer that?", I said
"You wanna fight?!"
"Against you? It wouldn't be called a fight..."
"Right", she untied me,"Hit me with your best shot!"
I got my fists ready and as she ran up to me, I jumped over her and ran"Quick Erik, let's go!"
"You had me when you jumped over her and smashed her into that wall"
"Huh?", I look back and see her unconscious on the ground, "let's see why she attacked us...", I pick her up and tie her down with some chains

"Why did you attack us?!", I shouted
"Huh? Where am I?", she stuttered
"Answer the question!", Erik shouts
"Because I need money, obviously!"
"Oh she did say that before", Erik said
"Why do you want money?"
"I need to get to China..."
"Why?"
"Because my parents are there, I got on the wrong plane..."
"Hmmm...", I looked at her,"Ok, we'll help"
"Really! Thank you so much! How do we get there?"
"I was wondering the same thing...", Erik said casually, looking at me
"We'll fly", I stated,"Just gotta make another jet pack..."
"Wow! Cool! I'm Julie Roberts by the way..."
"But someone has to learn Chinese..."
"You think I would go to China not knowing how to speak the native language?", Julie suddenly stated
"Ok then, we leave in 1 hour..."

"3...2...1...", I started
"Go!", Erik suddenly shouted as he was propelled into the air, followed closely by Julie
"...", I was silent as I pressed the button to activate the rocket
"This is amazing!", Julie shouted while doing loop-the-loops
"China is this way", I said pointing East
"I'll race you!", Erik shouted
"This is gonna be a long flight..."
