"Vivian . . . I'm a Spotter. You? You're a Duster. I find the vamps, and you stake em'. But this particular vampire is special. He's the leader. So he's the hardest to kill. Also, he's basically the life line for all the other vampires in the nest. I Spotted em' a while ago, but didn't know how to approach you about it. All of this actually. Considering your parents were both killed by vamps, you turned an orphan. Went through foster homes and such. Finally, you settled down. You weren't too hard to follow." He took another breath. "Sorry, I know that this sounds crazy, and no, technically, I've not been stalking you. I actually don't know much about you, only the basics. But that's besides the point. The point is that the time has come to take action. You need to move in on him and stake him. Staking him should kill all the others in that nest. Yes, that's what the killings have been from. And considering how quickly they've slowed down, and by how much, it's probably safe to assume that they are planning something big. Real big. And you know what that event is. In fact, making this all the easier, you've actually already been invited! So, since you know the event... you probably know the leader. The Line, as we like to call em' cuz they're basically the life line for all the others in the nest. Kill the Line, and the others with slowly, if not quickly, vanquish as well. " He paused, waiting for Vivian to take this all in, but she was actually nodding and it almost seemed like she was... smiling. "I always did know that adventure suited me, and that I wasn't gonna be the loser, younger, ugly sister of the Shamblin sisters' for much longer." By now she really was smiling. A huge grin that lit up the room. "So.. the Boysin Boys... their house is the nest." He said. " Is everyone in the house a vamp, and are you positive that they're all connected to one Line, not multiple?" She asked, not missing a beat, unfazed, almost as if she'd expected it. She was really getting into this. "I'm positive. There is only one Line in that household." Jillian replied. "Well then.. this should be fairly easy, because I know exactly who the Line is." Vivian said, eyes twinkling. "Who?" Jillian tested. "Jayline. Jayline Boysin for sure." "That's spot on Vivian." Jillian said, impressed with her enthusiasm and how huge the blind leap she just made was. "There, of course, is a catch though." Vivian's face automatically fell. "He doesn't like people." She said quietly. "Exactly. That's why I've made this checklist for you." Jillian got up and went over to his large coat, almost all the way dry by the fire. He pulled out a piece of paper, folded in half, that wasn't at all wet. Vivian didn't even question it. She took it from his outstretched hand and Jillian re-seated himself as Vivian open the paper. It was a To-Do list. 1.) Dance 2.) Laugh 3.) Deceive 4.) Kill
It was self explanatory enough. But still, Vivian struggled to comprehend it. "First, you need to wow him with your dancing. From what I hear, your quite talented, so that should be just about the easiest part. Second, once he notices you, he will want to spend time with you, 'get to know' you. You must laugh at all of his jokes, even if they're terrible, because from what I've heard, they usually are. Jayline prides himself on his humor, thinking that he's the funniest guy ever. Soon after, he'll fishing about you, but you must play along and start fishing yourself. Very subtly. Find out what you can about him, his family. You must make him belief that you are the woman of his dreams. But be careful while your fishing around about him. Jayline does not appreciate curiosity, though he's plenty full of it himself. Then, he will propose." At this Vivian raised an eyebrow. "He's a straight forward guy." explained Jillian. He continued, "Then, right when he proposes, you move in to kiss him. . . Then BAM! You steak him. Then he, along with the rest of his "family" are good as gone. Well, they're officially dead dead... But whatever." Vivian couldn't help it. This is probably the craziest adventure she's ever been on. And she'd done some crazy things... She got a little scared. In a tiny voice, she managed, "Do I have too?" Jillian slowly nodded his head up and down. Vivian then lost herself. This was insanity. Way too much to bear. Way too crazy to be true. But, the crazy ones are usually the most sane people in a world full of crazy people. 'Crazy people don't know that they're crazy. I know that I am crazy, therefor, I am clearly not crazy. Crazy, huh?' Vivian always did admire Captain Jack Sparrow, but this was crazy, would be, even by his standards. Heaving a sob, she fell forwards. Jillian wrapped his arms around her while she cried. He just held her and held her, all night long. Until, at long last, Vivian felt she was a prune. She had nothing left inside. "Okay... I can do it." She said. Why not be crazy, huh? Most everyone already though she was anyways. Why not prove them correct? Jillian held her wrapped up in his arms. "Of course you can" He said into her hair. Vivian sat up, wrapping her arms around Jillian. We should get some sleep. I'm assuming that I have to look my best when I meet his 'Royal highness'. "You assume correctly. It it 6:57." "Everyone wakes up around noon usually... But I have to have breakfast made by then." Vivian stated, yawning, realizing how tired she was. Jillian, lying down and taking Vivian down with him, replied, " You don't worry about that, I'll take care of it." Jillian said. Curled up with Jillian's arms around her, she drifted off to sleep.
