Vivian shot straight up. Seeing that it was well past noon, 3:17, she frantically got up and noticed Jillian had disappeared. She noticed a note on her writing desk, 'I made breakfast and left a note telling them you'd gone into town for today. They didn't really seem to care. They ate breakfast and went back to their bedroom. I'll be back for you around when you wake up. It's a Spotter skill, I'll explain later. Just in case your questioning, everything from last night was real. Very real. Go take and shower and dress in something nice. We're actually going into town today. See you soon!' Vivian smiled, in spite of herself. So that hadn't all actually been an insane dream. Well, why delay the inevitable? She took a quick shower, then dressed in a t-shirt and some washed-out jeans. 'Had he said that they had just gone back into their rooms? Weird.. Whatever, I should still go out from my terrace, just to be on the safe side.' Vivian grabbed her all faithful backpack and went out her terrace door, quickly scaling down the side of the house. She was just walking around the side of her house to the front, when Jillian jumped down from a tree and landed right in front of her. "Ahh! Shipping and Handling!" Vivian dropped her Sobe and jumped at least 2 feet into the air. "Cheese and rice! You can't go jumping down from trees in front of me like that, I'm only 17. That's too young to die from a heart attack!" Jillian just chuckled. Then his face clouded over and he became very serious. "Viv, you need to be ready for things like this. Not peeing your pants. If I was a Fang, I could've killed you just then. This is serious. This little excursion out into town is a uhhh.. practice time. I'm gonna Spot Fangs, easy ones, and your gonna practice Dusting them. I'll be around if you need help, but I want to see how you function alone. I'm sure you'll do fine. But remember, I'm there if you need backup." Jillian began walking down the street. Vivian rushed to follow him. "You walk pretty fast. . ." Vivian stated bluntly. At this, Jillian slowed his pace, but not by much. Once at the street, they walked to the end of the road, then tuned down onto the next road. Three houses down, there was a Ferrari LaFerrari. He stopped in front of it. "Jillian! Don't touch that car! It's like, 5 zillion dollars!" Vivian said worriedly. Jillian chuckled, then reached into his pockets, pulled out car keys, and unlocked the car. He slid into the driver's seat and started the car. Vivian stood there, slack-jawed, watching Jillian sit in that beauty of a car. "Are you coming? Hurry up! I'm wasting gas!" Vivian walked over to the car and stood next to the passenger door. Jillian reached over and swung the door open. "Get in." Vivian slung her backpack off her shoulder and put it on the floor by her feet, then she got in and sat on the seat, pulling the door closed. She winced when it seemed to slam shut. Jillian laughed. "Calm down. It's just a car. Haha". Vivian stared at him, eyes huge. "Just a car? Just. A. Car?" Jillian chuckled again, then began driving. It seems that in only the blink of an eye, they were already pulling into a parking space downtown. Jillian hopped out of the car and went over to Vivian's side to open her door for her. He pulled it open and Vivian grabbed her backpack, swinging it on, and shut the door behind her. She looked around, and found Jillian at the pay stand, paying for the parking space. She walked over as he was finishing up. She heard the beep of him locking the car. He turned towards her, "Are you ready?" Vivian felt a pang of nervousness, but she shoved it deep down. "Of course. Let's go." The first place that they went was some Irish pub. Despite it being light outside, the inside was very dark. The lighting was very low down. It was full of people and the music was blaring. It was hot, stuffy, and Vivian had already started to sweat, despite having just walked through the doors. She felt someone push something into hand. She whirled around into Jillian. "It's a stake." He said in her ear. Vivian opened her palm and saw something about the size of a pen made out of wood. It was pretty lightweight. Could she really kill an undead creature of the night with this? Haha. "It looks like nothing, I know. But it's pretty convenient." Vivian could tell, without Jillian pointing it out, that this would be an ideal place for Fangs to hang out. Full of people, dark, loud. . .
