Snap didn't just stand by while hundreds of shadows advanced against the Acromantulas. He drew his own sword, choosing not to use magic, and set his wand aside, opting for hand-to-hand combat. After all, even though he wasn't being identified by his magical signature this time, he still didn't want to leave traces like before. Now, he could fight with his shadows guarding his back, relying less on shadow teleportation to escape from the many enemies surrounding him.
The Acromantulas were surprised and immediately began to roar, putting the entire nest on alert. The enemy was coming. There were at least two thousand of them there, and a hundred shadows wouldn't be enough to scare them off, so they prepared to attack the enemy as well.
A large group charged forward, roaring at the approaching shadows. Some were massive, like a colossus, a stone golem, and the Basilisk itself in its giant snake form.
All the shadows advanced without hesitation, but it was their commander who led the charge. Snap appeared before the first spider, slicing off its head before it even realized it was dead. The roaring ceased abruptly.
At his side, Snap moved with agility. He swung his sword forward, stabbing another spider in the head, embedding the blade between its eyes. Then, he prepared to strike a second one that leaped at him, cutting it in half and splitting it apart.
The third tried to catch him off guard, but suddenly, a monstrous mouth emerged and swallowed it whole, smashing the ground with force while the creature's teeth crunched it before spitting out the remains. Ouroboros slithered across the ground, using its tail to strike the surrounding spiders, scattering them away.
At that moment, his strongest and fastest shadows arrived. Igris charged forward, slashing through everything with his massive sword, gliding between the enemies and slicing them apart like paper. However, he was quickly surrounded, and Snap noticed Igris struggling against so many enemies with such a large weapon.
"Even Igris is having trouble with a big sword..." Snap murmured.
He realized that, with so many enemies, a large sword wasn't very useful. He glanced at his metal blade, pondering.
"This won't work here," he said to himself.
Without hesitation, he stored the sword in his inventory and pulled out two daggers he still kept there, though they were nothing like the material his sword was made of. Even so, they would be more effective in this type of battle.
With the smaller blades, he moved swiftly, striking everything around him without the burden of maneuvering a massive sword. The daggers immediately proved effective as he dashed through the enemies, cutting and reaping their lives while using his high speed—faster than anything else there, except for the ice elf.
The shadow soldiers reached the group just before Ouroboros crushed several spiders with an explosive attack, smashing them beneath its massive tail. This allowed some of the shadow creatures to gain an advantage over their enemies.
Meanwhile, the giant stone colossus stomped on spiders with its enormous feet, and other stone golems, though slow, easily shattered the creatures' bodies whenever they managed to land a punch.
Snap was also in the middle of the chaos, slightly away from where most of his shadows had begun fighting, battling alongside some of his soldiers. At his side, the ice elf advanced—perhaps even a bit stronger than Snape—using his speed to slice through enemies with precision. His spear gleamed in the air, effortlessly tearing through the creatures. Igris moved with them, forming a group that slaughtered dozens of spiders in mere seconds.
