"Hello, nice to meet you all," Young Ji spoke in a singsong voice, patting on the cushion foundation. "Let me draw on my eyebrows first," she excused. "I have to become Ellie's type."
One of her assistants pitched in from behind the camera, "I heard her type is Danny Phantom." The rest of the staff nodded, finally understanding why Young Ji had drawn her eyebrows in extra dark and worn a white wig. She then doused herself in an unreasonable amount of perfume.
"Today's guest likes someone who smells good, so I sprayed as much as I could."
Young Ji had prepared a bottle of Baiju- an ode to the Chinese guest- along with Sake, which was Ellie's favourite. Young Ji was boiling up a pot of water to make ramen for her guest, as well, when the bell rang.
"Wow, so pretty. My girlfriend," Young Ji sighed as she locked in the doorbell camera. "Nowadays, when I see someone pretty, it just makes me pee my pants," she continued, making the staff burst out laughing at her antics.
"She's here!" Young Ji exclaimed as a knock on the door sounded, jumping up and unlocking the enterance.
She picked Ellie up, making her shriek. "Choi Jong-In, everybody," Young Ji introduced, eliciting a chuckle from Ellie.
"Hello," Ellie sung out, waving at all the staff members. "Let me take your bag," Young Ji offered, joking that the bag was bigger than Ellie herself. "Wait wait, I have a gift for you."
She pulled out a small teddy bear she had got for Young Ji, that had a microphone attachment. "For our rap-star," Ellie smiled, handing it to the younger girl. "Unnie, I'm so touched," Young Ji said her eyes widening as she looked at the small token.
Ellie then pulled out several bottles of hand cream from her bag and handed them out to the staff. "It's nice to meet you all." "She's going to steal my job," Young Ji said, with pretend worry coating her face.
As the two took their seat, Young Ji asked whether Ellie was feeling cold or not, seeing as she was just wearing a tank top. "I feel hot when I drink. This is my attempt at pregaming," Ellie joked.
"Well I've dressed up for today as well." "Of course, is it Danny Phantom?" Elaine asked, patting the younger's head in adoration. "I wanted to embody your type," Young Ji explained.
"He isn't my type," Ellie confessed, "Just my first love."
"Oh thank God, I was about to rip off the wig when you said you didn't like him," Young Ji sighed in relief.
The two had already begun conversing when the staff held up a sign that said 'Introduction' on it. "Ah we completely skipped that," Young Ji said, laughing at herself.
"Say the name, Seventeen. Hello, I am Seventeen's Ellie." "I don't think the group introduction was necessary, everyone already knows who you are," she assured.
"I've never done the group introduction in my own, so this was just for myself," Ellie blushed.
Young Ji nodded, "One of your members has already come on our show, but I'll be honest, I wanted you to come first." "Oh really?"
"I'm sorry, but I've dated you in my imagination already. We're a lot closer than you think." "I'm getting scared now," Ellie shivered, chuckling as she leaned back, but gasped when she saw Young Ji pull out a little black box.
"Are you going to propose to me?" Ellie chuckled, expecting a ring pop. However, Young Ji pulled out an actual ring; a golden band with small flower twisted into the center.
Elaine looked at the younger girl with her eyes wide. "Wow, it feels like you're my real girlfriend."
"It's because I am. You're just finding out now," Young Ji joked. "I hope you like the ring. If you ever take it off, I'll find out," she warned. "Hey, stop ruining our moments by scaring me."
As the laughter died down, Young Ji gave a short explanation of all the food and drinks she had prepared. "I know you like sake and ramen, so I've prepared that. I also found this Chinese liquor."
"Oh Baiju? This is really strong though," Ellie warned, "You need really tiny shot glasses for this."
"It's okay we can just pour small amounts into our glasses," Young Ji shrugged, pulling out the wine glass she had to separate the sake and Baiju. Ellie shook her head as she giggled. "Wow, there really is nothing prepared."
"Our first game, is that you have to speak without using any English words." "What about my name?"
Young Ji thought for a moment. "I'll call you Yue or Jong In, then."
The two nodded, prepared to take on the challenge. "Please introduce your new song for the audience then."
"Well, our new song, IYKYK is coming out soon, on May 4th. It's just the 4 girls in this comeback, and it's a very summery, light hearted dance song. I made the choreography for it, so I'm really excited." "Oh wow, can you spoil any of it?"
"I can play it for you, and it'll be out when this video is uploaded so it won't spoil anything for the audience," Ellie said, pulling out her phone to play the track.
"I love it. Your voice sounds so beautiful," Young Ji fangirl-ed. "How long has it been since Seventeen's last comeback?" Young Ji asked, not noticing she had spoken in English.
"Time to take a shot," Ellie teased, before realising she also said the word 'shot' in English. The two deadpanned and took their shot together.
