We must all be the same
Is what they force into our minds
Unique perception is punished
No coloring out of the lines
Don't skip to a beat
That's not on repeat
They keep us in check
silently shouting
We feel the heat on our necks
A cheerful blue daisy
Is painted grey
A dancing tree
Is turned to hay
In this world
We have no say
Being different is and always.
Has been put to shame
But we want to sing
Free our lungs
Of toxic air
We want to dance,run,and jump
Without giving a care
But they have us on chains
Cutting at our wrists
Freedom of expression
Is something we all miss
