Chapter 21 "X."

Rachel's P.O.V

"So, it was you?" I asked as a guy with brown hair walked to where I was. "Sorry but, who are you again?" I asked confused.

"Liam! Liam Payne!" He exclaimed. "I was your neighbor! Your dad made my dad enter jail! That's why I hate you!"

"Wow. This was... unexpected, Liam." I said.

"Don't call me Liam. That was ages ago!" Liam said. "Now I'm known as... X!" 

Liam... er... X said.

"But what do I have to do with that?" I asked confused.

"Well, as I said before, you are here to pay for your dad's mistakes." X said.

"Wait, I think I remember you now!" I exclaimed.

*flashback*

"We are going to be best friends forever, right?" a six-years-old Liam asked as he held my hand softly. We were walking to our school.

"Sure!" I exclaimed. Liam smiled and stopped walking. I stared at him confused, and he just blushed and gave me a kiss on the cheek. "Ewww! No kisses!" I exclaimed, trying to clean my cheek.

Liam just made a sad look and lowered his face. "Sorry." He said.

"It's okay." I said smiling. We were going to continue walking, but we heard something. BOOM!

"What was that?" I asked confused.

Liam shrugged. "I don't know." He said with a sweet smile on his lips. He was sweet and lovable. He was not as evil and creepy as he was now. Suddenly, a louder noise struck my ears. It was clearly a bomb. I looked at Liam, scared, but he just covered my ears with his small hands and smiled. "It's going to be okay. There's nothing to worry about, Rachie." He said.

"Rachel! Your house exploded!" Anna, an old neighbor exclaimed. I gasped and rushed to my house, to find only firemen. Liam followed me, and gave me a hug as I started to cry.

"I will never leave you alone!" He exclaimed, wiping my tears out.

"Promise?" I asked innocently.

"Promise." He said smiling.

*end of flashback*

"You said you would never leave me alone." I whispered. Liam nodded and smiled evilly.

"I hope you realize that, we were kids back then." He said.

"Of course. But I still do not understand why my dad made your dad go to jail." I said confused.

"The answer is simple," Liam said with the creepiest smirk I saw on my entire life. "It was because my dad was the one that threw the bomb."

Charlie's P.O.V

I woke up early in the morning and stretched my arms. It was a very long night, but I enjoyed it. I looked around me and noticed Chris was not in the room anymore. I watched the empty spot next to me and saw a little paper. I took it and unfolded it.

Dear Charlie:

I love you more than anything else in this world. You are definitely the one! I thought I would never be able to love someone, but you taught me otherwise. You showed me the true meaning of love, and I want to thank you for that. Never forget that I love you, please. You are the only girl that makes me smile for no reason. Anyways, if you are reading this, it means I'm gone for good. Don't cry for me. I don't deserve it. You deserve so much more... I'm not worth it. I'm a bad person, Charlie, I really am. I did something that is so bad, that you would never forgive me for doing it. You should give Harry a chance. He's a nice guy. Don't be sad. Try to move on, baby.
