"So Mr. Tomlinson, I've been told that your progression has excelled immensely over the past week" The controller of the prisons behavioral management group spoke loudly
Louis shrugged, not paying much attention
This was sort of like a meeting, he was sat in a room with two guards, Niall, Liam, Harry, another officer and this large man who Louis was trying his best to ignore
"Is this what you're like on a regular basis?" The man asked "Do you ignore people often Louis?"
"Only when I dont give a shit about what they're saying" Louis sighed, leaning back in the chair slightly
"You see, I'm here to help. I just want to ensure that you are being helped whilst you are here" The man, leaned forwards on his chair to get closer to Louis
"I'm fine" Louis hufffed
"You don't seem fine, have you got a problem?" He asked
"No" Louis muttered
"Sometimes Louis, we swap people around to get the inmate the most beneficial help that they need. For example, we could change your personal guard or officer" He paused for a few seconds "We could even move you to a different prison if things aren't working out here. We're trying to help you" He said slowly, Harry frowned at this. He didnt want Louis to move to a different prison, he'd only just started to help him. Louis was finally opening up to him and if it'd taken him this long then how long would it take someone else?
Too long
He'd never be finished by the time his court date arrived
"I told you that I'm fine" Louis huffed
"Im not fully convinced Louis" He sighed, after a few seconds of Louis ignoring him again he spoke once more "I've been told that you've made progress during your time with Mr. Styles, but if this isn't true I can always give you over to someone else so that you can speak with them before your court date. We are trying to get as much as we can from this small amount of time and if this isn't wor-"
Louis cut him of quickly "No I am! Ha-Mr. Styles is helping me, he really is"
Realizing that he'd spoken quite loudly and panicked, he blushed a little and leaned back again, looking over to Harry with a soft expression
Harry was smiling at him, but tried to look down to cover up so that nobody noticed their exchanged looks
"I mean, I've just gotten used to the way that Mr.Styles approaches things and I wouldn't like a change in psychiatrist" Louis swallowed as Harry smiled again
The man, who he still didn't know the name of, raised a brow and clapped his hands together once
"Well, that's settled then. Well done Mr.Styles, you seem to have helped" He gave Harry a nod "I would like to see the progression sheets and extra information about the crime by the end of the day to file"
"No" Louis said quickly
"What do you mean no?" He asked
Louis gulped, thinking of how to phrase this. He didn't want to sound pathetic
"I think what he's trying to say is that he'd rather finish saying everything before I hand anything in officially" Harry interrupted "I agree, I think it would be easier that way"
"Is that right?" He asked looking towards Louis who gave a quick nod "Very well, you may do that instead, if you both believe that is best. I wouldn't usually do this but this is a very severe case do I am pushed into doing whatever seems best"
"Thank you Sir" Harry said
Louis looked over to Harry, smiling
He really did consider Harry as a friend now, he just wished that the two of them could've met under different circumstances
"Okay, I'll be back to check on the place again in a few weeks time. Best of luck Mr.Styles, and you Tomlinson" He stood up, and everyone else follows his actions apart from Louis
"Come on Tomlinson, back to your cell" Niall patted Louis' shoulder softly
Louis pouted, standing up and following Niall to the door
"You're not cuffing him?" Harry raised a brow and Louis frowned at him
"Nah, I dont bother anymore" Niall shrugged
"Right, good decision on your part" Harry smiled
Louis smiled to himself, looking away from Harry
"I'll take him" Harry offered
"You sure?" Niall checked
"Yeah, I'm not busy. Leave it to me" Harry smiled
"Well, thanks man. I'll be in the break room if you need me. It's my free shift, Liam's too. You should come join us. We'll get coffee or something" Niall said quickly, before he turned the opposite way down the hall
"I will do" Harry agreed, turning left to take Louis to his cell
"Is it your free shift too?" Louis asked quietly
"Yeah, it is" Harry nodded "How did you find the meeting?" He asked
"Okay" Louis shrugged "I was quite nervous when he asked for you to report everything today" He admitted
"Me too, I kind of jumped in on that one" Harry smiled, putting his hand on Louis' shoulder
"Thanks for that" Louis smiled back, stopping outside his cell
"No problem" Harry stopped for a a few seconds, looking over Louis' face and making the smaller boy frown and squirm slightly under Harry's watch "Your brow cut has faded a lot" Harry said, lifting his hand to touch the small mark "Does it feel okay?" Louis nodded in response "What about the rest of you? Are you okay?"
"I'm fine" Louis nodded
"Good" Harry said
And it really was good
Louis was all that he could think about
And it made him happy if Louis was well, and doing okay
Louis stepped inside his cell once Harry had unlocked and opened it for him
Harry sighed, locking it with Louis inside. The bars separating then made Harry's heart clench although he didn't know why
He liked Louis a little more than he should, he just hoped that the attraction would go away and that Louis wouldn't realize if it didn't
