The two came home to see an almost naked Ashton, all bandaged up, in Luke's arms. Of course they didn't hear the sounds of Luke's loud heartbeat. "Hey Luke, what happened?"
"Ashton was cutting in the bathroom and I didn't realize it, and he was passed out, and-" Luke had a very tight grip on Ashton, as if he was a simple Build-A-Bear doll. The Build-A-Bear being held by his Build-A-Boy.
"Oh Ashton." Michael says, looking at the curly haired lad, with his glasses off, and the only item of clothing on him being his boxers and socks. "Should we take him to the hospital?" Luke shakes his head.
"He'll wake up soon, hopefully. If he doesn't wake up in about three hours, we take him to the hospital." Ashton was breathing, which was good. Luke just didn't want his bear out of his sight, because without it, it'll end up like a kid without it's teddy bear, a disaster.
Calum goes over to the kitchen to make cups of tea for everyone, and coffee for Ashton when he wakes up. Michael was watching him. "I'm sorry for being so upfront at the bowling alley, it was quite weird to ask that question out of the blue." Calum shakes his head.
"S'fine. I didn't really mind... I do really like you though, and I would love to, maybe, try to- I don't know." Michael snakes his arms around Calum's waist.
"Date?" Michael whispers in his ear, making Calum's legs weak, he lets out a sound of agreement. "Great." He spins Calum around pressing a kiss to his lips.
"Wow!" Calum says, when Michael's lips leave his. Michael nods, and Calum continues to make his tea and coffee.
In the other room, Luke could hear Ashton stirring in his sleep, and soon Ashton's green eyes open. He starts to breathe heavily, obviously not alright, and on edge. Luke's arms tighten around him, and Luke puts his head in between Ashton's shoulder blades, leaving a small kiss there.
"I'm cold." Luke quickly get sup, getting Ashton a pair of loose pants and a sweatshirt. Ashton had a hard time putting them on because he was in increasingly bad pain, and he was also plain annoyed at Luke because he kept asking questions, and making sure Ashton was okay. Ashton wasn't used to that kind of treatment, it was very new to him. "Could you please shut up!" Ashton asks annoyingly, not meaning to make Luke upset.
"M'sorry Ash," Luke says.
"You don't need to apologize, I do. I'm sorry, it's just you don't know me, and it annoys me how you think you do." Luke pouts.
"Then I want to get to know you." Calum comes in with a cup of coffee, and hands it to Ashton. Ashton uses the cup to warm his cold hands, taking a sip.
"Well, for starters, my dad left my family when I was fifteen, making me get a job. I have a two younger siblings that I had to also take care of at the time. i was pretty much their parents since, my mum was constantly working or was with her no good sleaze of a boyfriend. I met Calum and Michael that year, but I didn't tell them anything. I didn't want them to judge me or whatever. Turns out that mum was doing drugs, the police found out and took my siblings straight out of my hands. I was pretty much alone at the age of seventeen, sure that wasn't too far away from eighteen but still. Thankfully, Michael let me stay with him since his parents liked to foster kids. They had never met me before, until I was taken to their house. Michael thought I killed someone for the longest time. Around that time, I started to cut. I missed my family. I couldn't visit anybody, it sucked. I felt incredibly alone, and extremely depressed. Calum and Michael helped me though it, and it hadn't started again till now, a relapse after that shaving accident I guess... I still haven't seen my siblings ether, I don't know where they are, all I know is that my mother is in a rehab facility, and I can go and visit, like I would." Ashton pokes Luke's nose, making him say I love you, cheering him up a little bit. Ashton takes another sip of coffee, trying to warm up. Luke didn't know what to say, he wasn't okay that his boyfriend was unhappy.
"Ash- I had no idea..." Luke starts.
"You weren't supposed to." Luke gets up to go get tea.
"Relapse my butt," Calum starts walking over, sitting on one side of Ashton, Michael sitting on the other.
"And really shaving accident, why are you actually cutting again? We thought you were happy, sure a little stiff, but happy." Michael responds.
"Uh, i felt lonely... again, i don't know. I kinda felt alone." Calum puts his head on Ashton's shoulder.
"You never have to feel that way, me and Mikey are always here for you." Calum says. Ashton nods, being increasingly quiet for Ashton. Michael watches as Ashton pulls the sweatshirt sleeves over his increasingly pale hands.
"I love you guys..." Ashton says, looking around for Luke. He was standing in the kitchen, mindlessly eavesdropping. He didn't know why Ashton would lie to him, but as Ashton said, he has trust issues.
Luke had tried to remember his past. It was kind of a blur. The perfect family, and everything. He was the perfect boy. He didn't know how he got into the box, all he knew about was Ashton. Everything after the day he turned sixteen was a blur. He didn't remember anything. Luke didn't know why, had he gotten amnesia or something? There was a photo of him and Ashton from what was probably last year. Nether of them remember that, so it was quite weird. Luke hoped one day that he would get answers to his unanswered questions. Maybe one day...
