Chapter 4

Jaz's POV

I never been in love before. I thought, vampires do not have a heart, but its only my thoughts. The truth is, vampires do have a heart but often been in love with a human. Mailan lng ang naiin love sa tao. Marahil isa na ako dun. Base on what Shine told me yesterday, she knew someone who has been in love with a human too. Nagkaroon naman sila ng anak, yun nga lng medyo complikado.

Kung pwd lng sana na tao nlng ako. Malaya na siguro kami ni Sean ngayon. Pero, diba? Sabi nila, merong mga anak na pinagbabawalan ng mga nanay nila na magboyfriend in an early age.

Hayaan na. Basta, studies muna ako. I don't want my parents to be disappointed with me.

"Jaz, can I come in!?" nabigla ako sa kumatok sa pinto ng kwarto ko.

"Y-yes mom!" sagot ko naman. Natatakot ako. Baka kung ano na to. Someone please help me.

"How's your day, sweetheart?" tanong sakin ni mommy habang umuupo sa tabi ko.

"Fine. I'm just tired. So many projects." sagot ko naman. Basta si mommy kausap ko, paniguradong nosebleed talaga. English ng english kasi si mommy, ayaw mag tagalog.

"I told you before to study in our school but you hesitate. They have less projects there. It would be easy for you."

"No mom. I'm ok already. No need to worry."

"You say so."

"By the way, I came here to tell you about our yearly occassion."

"Wait. I forgot it. What occassion is that again, mom?"

"Me and your father have been planning for this occassion to keep this as a secret. But, I thingk you really need to know so that you will be prepared."

"Mom, tell me straight to the point."

"Ok. Have you forgotten that your birthday is coming?" tanong sakin ni mommy. Wait. My birthday?

"Oh my god. I do."

"Our plan is to invite our business partners' son and you will have to pick one, if you like one of them, then you will gonna marry him."

"What?!" napasigaw ako sa kagulatan.

"Hey, calm down. But, it is still up to you if you want or don't."

"No mom. I just want a simple celebration. I don't want to marry anyone in my early age. Never."

"Its ok. I'm just here to clear things up."

"Thanks mom."

"Your welcome sweetheart."

"Mom?" tanong ko nung nakita ko na patayo na si mommy.

"Yes sweetheart?" tanong niya habang bumabalik sa pagkaupo.

"I just want to ask you something."

"Go ahead."

"I just want to know the possible things if a vampire marries a human." nabigla si mommy sa tanong ko. Napaiwas pa siya ng tingin.

"Why did you ask?"

"Nothing. Just, what if. My friend like someone. She is a vampire but she likes a human."

"Ow, I see. There's a possibility that they will have no child. And they need to feed the parents of the vampire first with a newly born child and freshly caught human. I think, at the age of 10-15 before their wedding. And uhm.. the human must accept first the situation of the vampire. Tell your friend to be careful. Its not that dangerous at all but it could affect there lives."
