Chapter 15.

August.

I walked into the jewelry store and looked around. A short man walked up to the counted and looked at me.

"Hello, how may I help you today?"

"Are you Ricardo?"

"Yes."

"I was the one who called yesterday about designing a ring."

I picked out all the details for the ring and he informed me it would be ready in 3 weeks which was perfect because I planned on purposing on New Year's Eve.

I left out and put the drawing I made of the ring in my pocket. Now I just had to find a way to keep this secret from her.

I pulled up to the house and saw Lani standing at the stove.

"Hey baybeh." I said as I kissed her cheek.

She turned around and pouted while looking up at me.

"What's wrong bae?"

"I'm just a little stressed that's all."

"Then let me take some of that away." I said as I kissed her neck.

"No August."

"I don't accept no for an answer right now." I said as I slowly slid my hand down her underwear.

Kehlani.

"August stoppp." I moaned as he slid his index finger inside of me.

"Nope." He said as he picked me up placing me on the counter.

He grabbed my chin and kissed me slowly while sucking on my tongue. He then pulled my shorts and underwear off at the same time. I watched as he took his belt off and unbuckled his pants.

He kissed me again while placing his tip at my entrance I moaned and squirmed a little until I was adjusted to his size.

A couple hours later I laid by his side on the couch and watched him sleep. As I watched him a song popped in my head so I grabbed my phone and started typing.

I looked down at August as the words for the chorus seemed to start typing themselves.

He makes me feel wanted like no one

From it but to know my love's for sure.

After I had the song completed I called Jahaan and told him to meet me at the studio in a hour.

I got up and wiggled out of Aug's arms. Just when I got to the steps I felt arms pull me back.

"Whea' you going baybeh?"

"To the studio I have this song stuck in my head and I can't get it out."

"Aight mama I'a see you when you get back." He said as he pecked my lips.

August.

Since Lani went to the studio I figured I would go pick out her Christmas present. I didn't want to purpose on Christmas because I considered that would be too obvious.

I walked in Kennedy's room and saw her standing up smiling on the side of her crib. I got her bathed and dressed and even put a little headband on her hair. My baybeh looked good if do say so myself. I went into my closet and decided I would put clues all over the house on New Years Eve so Lani would see them. I got myself cleaned up and threw on some black jeans and a black shirt.

I put Kennedy's coat on her and placed her in her carseat and after I grabbed her diaper bag we where ready to go.

I pulled up at Ricardo's again but this time I was coming to get one of Lani's Christmas presents.

"Oh hi August, back so soon?"

"Yeah I'm looking for a little present for my lady."

Kehlani.

"Aye yo Keh that song is dope. You just wrote it today?" Jahaan spoke.

"Yup, wrote it a couple of hours ago."

"So who is it about?" He asked as I smacked my lips and gave him a weird look.

"I should've know the tsunami princess is in love with the eighth month of the year."

"Shut up Jahaan." I said as I busted out laughing.

We finished the song and talked about Oakland for a little until he had to go. I played around with the beat of the song and saved it to my phone before leaving.

I went to the store and brought a dress for me to wear for me and Aug's first New Years Eve Party it was nothing spectacular just a simple red dress.

I also bought Christmas sweaters for Me, Aug, and Kennedy to wear Christmas morning.

When I got home I hung everything up in my closet and went downstairs to see Aug laying down on the couch.

I really wanted to know what he was getting me for Christmas but of course I wasn't going to ask and I was too tired to snoop for it so I just decided to let him surprise me.
