The Garden Of Eden:

Something Was Wrong.

He could feel it, with every step he took. With Every Breath he Drew. 

Something was wrong.

Something was happening.

"Eve?!" He shouted in distress, his thought's focusing on only one person. The Only one to stand by him, and accept him in a way only a Human could.

Running through the field's of Eden, the world began to blur and bend around him. As the Primordial, malleable nature of Eden bent to his unspoken desire.

Barely a fraction of a second later, Adam stood before the forbidden tree, and at it's base, he could see her. 

Eve. 

His Eve.

She had partaken in the forbidden fruit. The Apple of Wisdom.

With horror, he rushed over to her side, "Eve? What-What did you do?" He said in disbelief.

Eve, an innocent expression across her face, looked up at him. "I... I only took a bite, because he said it was okay."

Adam frowned, 'He?' "Who are you talking about? Did... Did the Almighty come to you?"

But his Eve shook her head, "No. It was a Snake. A cute little guy."

Adam went still, thought's racing through his head. An old name, a name he wished to forget, sprung to mind. Yet he quickly pushed it down.

Instead, he began to worry for Eve.

What would they do if they found out that Eve had partaken in that which was not supposed to be  Eaten?

Would they kick her out?

Would they erase her?

Would she go to HIM?

If yet another of his light's went to the foe. Than he would never be able to forgive himself. Much less anyone, or anything, else.

Determinedly, Adam took the Apple from Eve's hand, and, without a moment's of hesitation, bit into it.

As he swallowed, a piece of the apple was caught in his throat, yet he refused to cough it out. For his very body, knowing the crime he was committing, rebelled against the Apple. Yet he forced himself to partake.

Any Sin his Eve had committed, was his responsibility to bear. He was her Adam, in the same way that she was his Eve.

He was Man, She was Woman.

He was Older, he had been wronged before, tricked before. So desperate in protecting her innocence was he, that he left her unprotected. Unprepared for the possibility that HE returned.

As such, it was his fault.

And as a tremendous presence appeared in the Garden, Adam solemnly took Eve's hand, whispering to her "It's Okay" as they both walked off to face the Almighty One.
