Ch.9 old memories and new friends
Eli’s POV
It’s been a month since the accident. We’ve all been here since. The doctors haven’t said anything about her. We go to school we just aren’t as active. We spend most of our evening here, homework gets done. Dani has been a little on edge. She can’t stand hospitals, so she stays close by someone just in case someone comes to kill her with needles. Too many hospital horror movies. Dani and I haven’t talked or even touched since Naomi was put in the hospital. Charlie started to laugh.
“You guys remember when we went on that choir field trip in 8th grade, and we went to the echo tunnel?” we all look at her.
“We played truth or dare, Gia drew a bad penis on the wall and some sixth grader dared Naomi to lick it. Thinking she wouldn’t do it, I remember all their face in shock!” she finish (btw all this old memories are completely true every one of them.) Dani busted out laughing.
“Remember when the night before our formal dance shopping in 7th grade. My parents were at work and Derek was out with one of his friends. We got in to my parents liquor cabinet and Naomi sat on the table and it split apart. She screams like she was dying! Then as soon as she got out of the table she started striping. And my dad forgot his house key so he waiting for me to open the door. Naomi started crawling to my bedroom as retarded and wobbling as possible.”
Paris and Charlie started laughing with her. I remember when I heard that I was piss I didn’t want Dani to start drinking. It was bad for her but that was a funny story. Everyone was smiling and laughing again like we were all fine. And truth betold I was completely fine with seeing Dani smile again. We told story after story until the doctor told us it was time to go. We walked out of the white tiled hospital to Cody’s new car since he got his tootle. It was the same car but in blue. Charlie took the passenger seat while Paris, Dani, and me took the back. Cody turn on the engine and one of my favorite songs were on ‘Radio by Hot Chelle Rea”
No matter where I'm at, no matter where I go,
I'll be singing for you on the radio,
Like ohh-ohh-oh, radi-ohh-ohh-oh,
Well you could be in Nashville, and I could be in France,
And here's a little something just to make you dance,
Like ohh-ohh-oh, radi-ohh-ohh-oh
If you miss me, like I miss you, t
Through the airwaves, I'ma kiss you,
Let’s g-ohh-ohh-oh, radi-ohh-ohh-oh
Everywhere I go, I need ya,
Coming' for ya, through the speakers,
Charlie was humming it, while Paris taps her fingers to the beat. Dani fell asleep in and was resting on my chest. Cody moves his mirror to see me. I gave him a small smile. We drop Paris and Charlie off at their house. And soon we were at Dani’s.
“I’ll carry her in. I don’t want her to wake up.”
“All right man sees ya.”
I unlock the door with the key Dani’s dad gave me. I climb the stairs to the third door on the right. I open her door and laid her down on the purple blankets. I went to her black dresser and pulled out a Captain America t-shirt out. I smiled at the shirt remembering all the memories that it had in it. It was way too big for her but I knew she loved captain America. She made me take her seven times to see it in theaters’. I walk over to Dani and took off her gray t-shirt. She had a white tank top underneath it. I pulled the C.A shirt over her and took off her shoes. I pulled the blankets up and put her underneath them. I smiled down at her. I was about to leave when a wooden photo frame caught my eye. I pick it up and smiled. It was one of the best days of my life. Dani wanted me to come to a park with her that day so she wouldn’t get bored. I could never say no to Dani. Her mother took pictures of us the whole day; I remember smiling for this picture when I was hugging her. That was also the day I kissed Dani’s head for the first time. It wasn’t a big accomplishment. But it was a great day for me. I put the photo down and went down stairs. Derek was coming up the stairs.
