"look, I-" he cuts me off half way

"don't need to tell me the answer yet. I just hope it's a yes" he smiles pulling me into a warm hug

"think about it and then we'll meet up" he turns around and leaves leaving me with my thoughts clouding my head.

if I date a jock, everyone will look at me. at us. the attention will be on us.

then again dating him would be wonderful, yet a totally nightmare.

he's a jock, meaning-all girls stare at him, he's had a lot of hookups, god knows what he's done behind close doors.

I shiver at the thought of that but then again we are in high school. seniors.

I get home with all the thoughts clouding my head and not being able to think.

after a while I decide on it. so I call him.

phone call

Jack: hello

h: hey, can we talk?

Jack: sure where do you want to meet up

h: the Ravens park

Jack: ok see you there

h: bye

Jack: bye

I put my shoes on and grab my keys. I head downstairs and tell my mom where I'm headed

"going to the park to meet a friend" I say popping my head into the kitchen

"be home before 8. dinners almost ready" she says and I nod my head

I walk for about 5 minutes and I'm there.

and so is Jack.

"I've made up my mind" I say and he smiles "so" he questions after I don't speak

"yes" I smiles and he pulls me into a hug. his arms wrapping around my waist.

"but" he looks at me his head tilting a little.

"please don't make me regret it" I tell him "you won't I promise" he says giving me a kiss on the cheek before pulling me into a hug again

I let out a big sigh not knowing I was holding it in.

"I'm trusting you jack" I giggle into his shoulder as he still holds me.

once again I'm awake. I sigh and look at the clock.

I get up and head into the bathroom.

I look at myself in the mirror and splash water on my face.

once I'm ready with everything I have to do in the restroom. I head into my closet.

picking out, some light washed jeans, a spaghetti cream colored crop top and an army green jacket.

as for shoes I put on my little black booties that Jack bought me for my birthday.

I grab my black side bag and head downstairs.

"mom I'm going to school now" I yell as she comes out from her room

"ok sweetie. your dad and I won't be home till tomorrow, we have a business trip a couple hours away"

I smile and nod "will you be fine alone?" she questions

"yeah of course. after all most of the morning I'll be at school. after school I'll swing by Zoe's" she nods giving me a smile before heading out.

I grab and apple and grab my keys from the bowl we have by the door.

"hey" I close my locker to see Jack standing there "omg. hey! you came" I smile and hug him.

he hugs me back and laughs a little "yeah I did, still see you need to go on your tippy toes even with heels" he says as we let go of the hug

"haha very funny" I say sarcastically "they don't have big heels" I shrug and defend my shortness

"whatever you say" he laughs sticking his hands into his pockets

"well, I'm glad you came today. and hopefully tomorrow and for the rest of the school year left?"

"yeah I will" he smiles

"yo Jack!" I hear someone say from behind

"Jack my man" I hear someone else say

we look and his friends are coming towards us

"we miss you bro" Cameron says pulling him into a "manly" hug

as so do the rest.

"hey hailey, how you doing" one of the guys ask

"I'm good" I smile and sigh

"that's good we're all here if you need anything" Cameron reassures me

"thanks. well I'm going to get going so you guys can have your guy time or whatever this is" I laugh as they laugh along

"see ya" I tell them waving goodbye and backing away before turning around
