Tommy had gotten permission to use the school one night to do some filming, that night he had brought Chuckie along with him. Some how they had gotten stuck in the broom closest and what happened in that broom closet really changed the dynamic of their friendship forever.
"Tommy, you know I don't like being in small rooms for too long," Chuckie said to Tommy as he slid down the wall covering his face.
"Chuckie, I cant help that I left the keys in the door, you were the one who pushed me in here because you heard a noise down the hallway," Tommy explained looking at his phone noticing his phone had died.
Chuckie started crying saying they were going to die over and over again.
"Great my phone is dead!" Tommy pockets his phone, "Chuckie come on don't cry today is only Thursday. We have school tomorrow and someone will save us, we will be fine."
"Tommy!" Chuckie latched on to Tommy still crying.
"Chuckie come on now we aren't kids anymore," Tommy said petting Chuckie's hair.
Chuckie just continued to cry in Tommy's shoulder. Chuckie has had panic attacks since he was a young tot and he had always looked to Tommy for comfort. Come to think about it he never ran to his father with issues it was always Tommy. Chuckie's next move surprised the both of them.
Chuckie grabbed Tommy's face and just planted a kiss on Tommy's lips, when he realized what he was doing Chuckie jumped back and went and try to make himself as small as possible for the rather tall boy. Tommy stood stunned at the fact his best friend had just kissed him.
"I'm sorry Tommy," Chuckie said in such a small voice.
"Chuckie don't worry about it, I'm not mad, I'm just shocked," Tommy walked over to Chuckie and hugged him.
"I-I-I ju-st don-don't kn-know why I-I-I did that!" Chuckie cried to the point of hyperventilation.
Tommy searched the closet looking for a bag to help his best friend from passing out. He couldn't find one. At a spur of the moment thought he grabbed the crying ginger's face and kissed him until he stopped crying and calmed down. Releasing Chuckie, Tommy blushed and turned away.
"Tommy?" Chuckie calmed down and looked at Tommy.
"Don't ask Chuckie I really don't want to explain myself right now," Tommy said facing away from Chuckie still blushing.
The towering ginger went behind the now shy, blue haired Tommy, and hugged him causing Tommy to jump making him even more nervous of what had just happened. Tommy felt at that moment everything was different about there relationship. He tried to wiggle free from Chuckie but he just couldn't break free. When did he get so strong. Tommy's knees began to feel weak, either from the lack of sleep or something else was going on.
"Tommy, I have to tell you something, and I guess since we are stuck in here and you can't run off please don't judge me," Chuckie told Tommy as he carefully got on the ground. Chuckie's back against an organization cabinet and Tommy basically was still wrapped in Chuckie's arms sat in his lap.
Tommy just nodded to Chuckie's request.
"I just wanted to tell you the reason I kissed you was because I like you I mean I really like you. Why do you think I stopped sleeping over your house. I felt dirty. This last panic attack just sent me over the edge and I couldn't control myself, but when you kissed me back I was shocked too," Chuckie explained.
"Chuckie......I really don't know what to say," Tommy truthfully told Chuckie.
"It's not that I expect you to say something, I just wanted you to know," Chuckie told Tommy holding him tighter.
Tommy could hear Chuckie heart thump away.
Ba-thump ba-thump constantly.
Tommy started to shiver because the room started to get colder. Chuckie then pulled Tommy in closer until there was no space between them. Once against Chuckie he felt something poking him.
"Just ignore it," Chuckie told Tommy.
"But isn't it painful?" Tommy asked.
"Yes, but I can handle it, it's not like I haven't before," Chuckie told Tommy, Tommy then looks up at Chuckie wide-eyed.
Tommy's face turned bright red.
"Chuckie....ummm.... How long have had these feelings for me?" Tommy asked a small voice.
"We are about to graduate high school so I would say since middle school, maybe longer," The ginger blushed slightly.
"Oh I was just wondering," Tommy for some reason started to relax.
"Watch it Tommy that hurts a little," Chuckie winced in pain as Tommy leaned against him.
"Oops sorry dude," Tommy said.
"It's fine," Chuckie said, "I still haven't asked you what you thought of me."
"I-I-I kind of do like you, but I don't know what kind of like," Tommy said putting his head between his legs.
Chuckie forces Tommy's head up to his face. Tommy, avoiding eye contact with Chuckie, blushed, and for the first time since they were kids Tommy started to cry. Seeing Tommy cry like this made Chuckie wonder if it was right to even tell him, his feelings. Chuckie released Tommy from his grasp, he once again put his head in between his legs and cried, Chuckie tried to get up only to notice Tommy holding his hand down.
Why wouldn't Tommy let go of me?
"Tommy is everything all right?" Chuckie asked.
"No," Tommy said shaking his head.
"Tommy what's wrong?" The ginger kneeled down beside Tommy.
Tommy then pushes Chuckie down, he sits on his stomach holding the ginger down at the shoulders. Tommy leaned down and kissed Chuckie. Chuckie eyes widened first then softened, Chuckie shook Tommy off his shoulders and put his arms around Tommy's neck and pulled him closer. Chuckie used his tongue to explore his friend's mouth. At first Tommy was afraid to let Chuckie do such a thing but then realized he is being 100% about this.
Maybe being stuck in the broom closet was a good thing. I think it all has to do with whose point of view you're looking at.
Until the next chapter
