Zac took my hand and led me into the school. We were grinning at one another like complete and total idiots. I couldn't help it, smiling at him was contagious. I heard alot of whispering and shit talking in the background but I really didn't care.
"So how'd you like the new car?" Zac asked grinning.
"YOU!!...you knew they got me a car and you didn't say anything!" I cried.
"Of course I knew, I'm the one who picked it out! It was a surprise, I couldn't say anything I didn't want to ruin it." He admitted.
"Thank you, I love it!" I said hugging him wildly.
Looking down at my roster I wanted to try and figure out where my locker was in relation to my classes. I could tell right off the bat that my locker was smack in the middle of all my classes which was great. I didn't have to lug around all the books. I had homeroom, Calculus, English Literature, Double Chemistry, Gym, Lunch, History.
"Lemme see your roster Kai." Zac added while taking my roster from me. Since when did he start calling me Kai? I kinda liked it though new nickname for the new me.
A smirk came over his face just then. "You know besides homeroom, we have every single class together." He stated with an enormous grin.
"Wow." I commented my eyes wide in amazement. "Looks like this is just the beginning of a great senior year...wouldn't you say my love?"
"I would say yes." He nodded in agreement. "My love...I like the sound of that."
I was so happy, even though we both looked way different on the outside, we were still the same old people on the inside. Zac walked me to my homeroom class and said he would be back to walk with me to first.
Everyone was staring about both of us, in a good way. I made it through the 15 dreaded minutes of homeroom where everyone including the teacher stared at me uncomfortably. When Mr. Brown called out Mikaila Debevoise, I looked up and said. "Present."
I heard a few gasps followed by a bunch of whispering. A few brave souls dared to say that I looked great and I thanked them generously.
It just so happens Chad Eastwick is in my homeroom this year with Aiden Dixon along with some annoying cheerleaders. Aiden the quarterback/captain of the football team and Chad the running back, happen to be best friends and the most popular boys in the entire school. They couldn't be more different. Aiden was outgoing and a pompous jerk, Chad was the typical quiet home town boy next door.
I could see out the corner of my eye when Aiden nudged Chad and the both of them stared at me for a while. I chose to look over at the same exact time and flash an innocent smile. Aiden smiled goofily back while Chad's cheeks flushed a pinkish hue. Probably embarrassed he got caught staring.
The bell rang signaling homeroom was over, Aiden walked up to me and slung his arm around me. "Hey Kaila, I just had to come up to you and personally say. You look hot. I'm sorry for being such an asshole all these years." His apology seemed somewhat sincere.
I was actually surprised he made the effort to apologize. I was going to have to drag this out and make it a good one. "Umm yea, apology accepted Aaron...have a great day!" I responded ducking out of his hold on my shoulder. I could see Zachy leaning against the door frame waiting for me with a smirk on his face.
"It's Aiden...Aiden Dixon. Not Aaron!" I could hear him call from behind me.
"Hey." I said breathlessly as I stared up at Zac. He looked good...matter of fact he looked hot! I couldn't help but have these thoughts running through my head about my bestest friend in the whole world. I don't think I'd ever get used to his perfection, here I thought Ethan and Chad were hot. Woohoo did Zac give him them run for their money!
