Hihi everyone!!
The chapter is dedicated to the winner of our event, @JMochiM !! For those wondering, here is their prompt...
'Worried about meeting Garp or Ace one day, Y/n decides to prepare something as a gift for them, meaningful, because she is anxious about their first meeting, hoping to maintain a good relationship. As she doesn't know them much, she asks for help from Luffy, and questions the other curious people to learn more about their world in passing, which leads them to spend a moment together, like a kind of date.'
Huge congratulations to them, and a huge thanks to everyone who participated! Everyone had wonderful entries, and our winner was very well deserved. I had to take a few liberties of course, though I still hope I did your entry justice :))
Apologies for the late post – Not sure if it's allergies or what, but my sinuses are at war with the air right now. Regardless, I hope everyone enjoys it! There's a short surprise at the end to make up for my lateness.
Happy reading <333

It's cloudier than it was yesterday.
The stick between my fingertips swishes and sways through the vacant space above Ivory's little head, a bouncing string dangling feathers that cause dark pupils to fill out the viridescence of his wide eyes.
It's a loosely tied model, one that's been broken and put together twice now despite Usopp making it yesterday evening; Yet each time the kitten spots it being picked up he races over with an eagerness that's difficult to ignore.
Ivory's white paws swat the plumes just out of his reach, allowing any onlookers to catch glimpses of the pink beneath as glossy claws reflect the light – And every time he hits the ground after a failed attempt, he springs back into the air once more, undeterred. The cat would likely continue to do this until he dropped dead, if given the option.
It's as if everything in the world isn't there anymore. It's just him and the elusive, enticing object of interest that the kitten can never seem to reach. Nothing else was important to him... I was almost envious, caught up in my own thoughts for so long that dissociation creeped over my psyche – An incessant patch of vines covering old stones, no matter how often their stems were chopped.
The others had once again fallen into the steady work of a 'normal day' aboard The Going Merry; Working on projects if they were available, relaxing if they weren't. This meant I'd been left to my own devices, just like before. However, rather than seeking out someone else to cure my boredom, as I would normally offer myself as a way to help out, I instead found myself occupied with an unrelenting predicament.
Funnily enough, it started after waking up from a night filled with dreams rather than nightmares. It wasn't common-place in my mind, but it had happened, and I slept peacefully for a change.
Everything was so vivid... Colorful figures prancing and leaping against a green background – A dark-haired boy with freckles and a pouting face, followed by a blonde with a gap in his smile and a striking top-hat – They ducked and weaved between leaves, flung themselves under branches, accompanied by young laughter through the eyes of someone oh-so familiar. His voice was unplaceable until the moment I awoke, the sun's rays streaming through the worn glass of the window in the girls room. I knew then that the dream wasn't mine, as Luffy's exuberant shouts broke through the barricade that was the closed door – His laughter clicking the pieces together unintentionally.
Out of curiosity, I sought out Luffy during breakfast, though a bit hesitant – Unsure how he'd feel about something that could be perceived as so invasive, regardless of it being a confirmed factor of our soulmate connection.
